Re: WTB: Backplate and wing (~55-60 lb)

Nice! Borcpro21 and Sheahan hooked me up with what I was after, but I'm gonna send this link on to a buddy who is also looking.

Thanks man!

Re: WTB: Backplate and wing (~55-60 lb)

??? I switch my plate between doubles and singles all the time (using an STA & different wings). Why the new plate? Well yeah, I could switch back and forth, but why would I want to if I don't have to? A used plate is a pretty minimal investment. My buddy's been wanting to dive my single rig. W...

WTB: Backplate and wing (~55-60 lb)

Anyone got a SS backplate and wing they wouldn't mind parting with? I have a bp/w for my singles setup and would like another dedicated setup for the dubs so I don't have to mess with switching. Neighborhood of 55-60 lb should be about right for the wing. The dubs are 108s. I'm about 6'1 240 lbs, so...

Re: Fourth Element Arctic Versus DUI ActionWear Professional

i'd like to try the subxero set, if possible. what sizes are they and where are you located? Size XL. I find that the SubX legs are a little long for me and it's tight in the tummy but do-able. (hey... come to think of it I had a girlfriend like that once... :) ) Located in Bremerton, but happy to ...

Re: Fourth Element Arctic Versus DUI ActionWear Professional

Haven't tried the ActionWear, but I do have a set of Arctic as well as SubXero. I dive a Bare HD Tech trilam suit. Got all of this last February after shivering through December and January in a semi-dry. Brrrr.... Early on I found the SubXero to be a bit too bulky (especially in the ankles) and sta...

Re: New from Bremmerton/Port Orchard area.

Welcome aboard Josh! Yep there are a number of divers and cool sites on the West side, and you can't go wrong heading South or East or North either. KitsapDiver is awesome and has been organizing a fairly regular West Sound dive that is always fun. Bassman's Thursday dives are a great place for new ...

Re: Thursday July 23rd @ the "Dond"

Yep Bassman, you shoulda stuck around. Gracefulc and I splashed once more at about 10 pm just as the whole neighborhood was coming out. We stayed on the upper trail and didn't go much past the boat with the checkerboard, and we saw 4 octos along the way if I remember correctly. The second was tucked...

Cool, another West Sound diver! :breakdance:

I live in Bremerton and love to dive weeknights and early mornings before work, when I can sneak 'em in.

Welcome aboard, and feel free to ping me any time!

Re: sunday diving anyone ?

Yep, you're in the right place to find (or start) something going on this weekend. Also, since I think you mentioned charters in your original post a while back - there are a number of charter outfits that may well have an empty seat this weekend. Off the top of my head I can think of: Porthole - (3...

Re: Bremerton diver on board

RBN - thanks for the offer, will take you up on that. Dave - will be stuck on the East side today, I have some family coming into SeaTac at noon. In a quick switch from responsible middle-aged man to teenager, I've found myself plotting ways to deliver them to my parents house in Lakewood and then s...

Re: Bremerton diver on board

Thanks all, it's good to be aboard. Bill - I've barely scratched the South Sound sites so far. I'd love to come down to your neck of the woods, thanks for the offer. Will send a PM. Bob - Geo rhymes with Leo, and is a play on the spelling of my name which sounds like Jeff but is spelled Geoff. Looki...

Bremerton diver on board

Sure is a nice site you folks have here, real glad I stumbled on it. Gotta say thanks for sharing - there's a whole lotta tribal knowledge to be had here! Got certified last fall (AOW, Nitrox) and have logged about 35 dives, mostly with my buddy Hawk whom I managed to infect with my glowing descript...
