Re: Diving after Knee Replacement
I have two dive buddies, both in their mid-60s, that have had knee replacement. Both still shore dive locally without any problems. One sometimes needs a bit of help donning her fin on that side. One will even walk the hill at Sunrise without any problems!! Both did their PT religiously, and both op...

https://derekcs.smugmug.com/Underwater/Seattle-Diving/Opalescent-Squid-Mating-201507 NICE shots!!! I was there this morning on the North side of Salty's & the MaST pier doing my safety stop when a school of thousands and thousands of squid swam past me. It was amazing!!! I'm glad I looked UP!

Is something starting to hit the sea cucumbers? Saw one yesterday at Redondo that looked terrible. Its mid-section was white and waste-y looking. I really wish I'd had my camera with me...

What time were you there? We were there at 9:30 AM (at extreme low tide--yuk!) and had 10-15 ft in the shallows and 20-25 ft at depth. Big difference!Jeremy Axworthy wrote:Mon. July 13, Three Tree: 1-2ft viz in the first ten feet, 10-15 below that.

Zeagle BCs are very adjustable. I've dove one for 15+ years, and it should only take you about 20 minutes or less to adjust it to fit you in warm water. Just look for all the connections with "Zeagle Screws" and adjust from there. Save your money!!!

Re: Lost slate-Redondo
Got it! And from where I found it, I would imagine many, many divers swam right over it for the last 2+ weeks. Weird. By the way, reading "looking for the line" on a lost slate is sort of spooky to the one who finds it.

Quote from the website: "Picture it - crystal clear water, calm and sheltered, two cages submersed at 40 feet, one cage suspended at 15 feet and one cage just below the surface - the opportunity for diving is virtually unlimited! Feeling brave? You can even get out from behind the bars under the...

Re: Solmar V vs. Rocio Del Mar vs. Nautilus Explorer
Thanks all! I've been on the Nautilus when it was up in BC/Alaska, and it was great. We're looking to do something for my big 5-0 in 2017, so we're starting to explore options now. I've been wanting to do the great whites, which all 3 boats do. I'm trying to decide if the $ is worth the trip. While ...

Redondo, Saturday 4/18/15--about 5 feet in front of the MaST down to 60 ft (heard it didn't get any better deeper). About 7 feet along the north line from the pipe boat to the VW. Yucko.

Re: Tips and tricks for chasing drysuit leaks?
If you have a general idea of where the leak is, go into a very dark room and hold a flashlight inside the suit (in the area you suspect). The light will shine through the hole. I have been more successful finding leaks this way versus inflating the suit and using soap bubbles, etc. Good luck!

While they are getting rid of it, maybe they can get rid of those stupid sharks too. Just an idea... But weren't those put down there by the same person who took the video of and is complaining about the boat? ... the same person who's been working with DNR and WSA to get a real reef installed at R...

I was SHOCKED at the numbers of green urchins at Keystone this past weekend. Last time, I was there was in June, and there was a noticeable difference between then and now. And, they seem to be doing quite a job at scouring the life on the jetty! Seems once we hit about 50 ft, the jetty started look...

You guys were very intent on photographing something. ScubaJess did wave at me though.
I had two great dives, but both were a game of "dodge the diver". It was crowded there yesterday!

Is the top of your drysuit orange? If so, I'm pretty sure I saw you guys underwater at the end of the jetty.
