Re: This doesn't sound good...

Solo diving is solo diving. Some of it ends up in the technical realm. Technical divers, typically plan team dives with the ability to finish them solo if things go wrong. The amount of gas that I think you would need to execute that dive safely, alone, is pretty large; it's a long swim to 213 at Co...

Partially true. My SS has a sealed battery and motor. I am hoping not to test the integrity of either seal.

Maybe the father of early rebreathers? http://www.theatlantic.com/technology/archive/2011/02/video-what-scuba-pioneer-christian-lambertsens-gear-looked-like/71567/ He is the "L" in LAR V (5) Lambertson Air Rebreather. The original o2 version was used at least until 1999; possibly longer-I...

Re: "Maybe you're not up on current events.....

Ok. My last comments.

I have more time diving in green water you have dives.

I wasn't panicked, nor did I feel panic closing on me. The situation was bad, it was time to go.

Was a line necessary? Nope. Was it a good idea, yep.

I have heard you talk in the parking lot before a dive... are you sure you need a whole breath? :boxer:

Re: SMBs

I like the KISS principle of dive gear. I am afraid that I would roll the valve on AP at a bad time. Halcyon's bag works for me. Fits in a pocket pretty easily, inflates pretty well. Simple. Normally, I fall into the same camp. I was suspicious of these for a while, but I'm totally sold now. Next t...

Liked the longer burn time on the N-19 vs the Sierra. Both are great.

Re: "Maybe you're not up on current events.....

It takes about a minute to blow a bag, if you are doing a 10' per minute ascent, how are you off gassing any less efficiently?

Re: "Maybe you're not up on current events.....

let's not underplay Josh's coolness under fire here. He displayed great team work. He hung in close when I blew the bag and even though he was on a faaaaar better mix than I was, didn't argue with me on heading to the surface. He could have easily said: "Hey, I'm fine... let's just go this way....

Richard, agreed. The people raising dogs for show are destroying many breeds with their jackassery. Most working breeds too. Fixed that for you Marc. I'm not so frustrated with toy breeds since they have and were always meant to be cuddly lap dogs with few responsibilties. Working, herding and hound...

Its sad. If the people over here had to do what German champions had to do GSDs would still be police dogs only.

Dusty, thank you. She is an awesome dog, my first Shepherd. I am spoiled for other breeds, with the exception of maybe a Malinios.
