Spear fishing is probably the oldest method of fishing on the planet.... Done right, it seems to me to be the MOST humanitarian way to harvest fish. As a fishermen also, the enormous amount of "shakers" (small juvenile fish) that are caught and released is probably 10+-1 adult keeper fish....

Im afraid with all the rain we have been having and all the runoff, the vis is going to suck anywhere......

I only hunt and kill fish when the season is open... Just like crabbing... I have my license and know when and where the the dept of game and fishing Zones are Open... I am not a poacher and I don't Hunt anywhere near dive sites or popular dive sites... So don't PM me with MSG ... Just keep your PM...

If I can talk the Mrs into it.... we may go New years day...... If the weather is not crappy that is... I dont mind diving in the snow, but if its pooring down rain and windy.... naaaaaa.... mainly the windy part sucks.....

I have never had Octopus, but love sushi,.... Dunno about taking a live one though..... or even killing one.... I have a problem with killing something that has an inherant intelligence to them......
