DAN Class: Hazardous Marine Life Injuries
For those who are interested, I'll be teaching the DAN Hazardous Marine Life Injuries class on Tuesday, November 28. It's a four hour class beginning at 6:00 pm and will cover various marine life injuries including bites, stings, envenomations etc, with a review of local PNW hazards as well. There a...

Delightful pics Val! Love looking at them... Val, tell me about the salmon pic. It seems that salmon sightings are about as rare as any other fish for NW divers. My guess is that they are fast, and normally not in the water column that divers frequent. Yours is one of the only diving salmon pics I'...

Assorted Gear for Sale
I'm posting this for a friend at work, a non-diver. She is having a garage sale on Saturday, November 11 to get rid of a ton of stuff that was left behind by her daughter's ex. There are a variety of wet suit boots, different thicknesses, hoods, gloves (all name brands), loads of soft weights, vario...

Need a Computer Guru
Does anyone know of a reliable computer guru? I'm in rather desperate need of someone to trouble shoot and clean up my computer, install a new (bigger) hard drive and do the data transfer. While I'm fairly creative with the beastie, I'm not technosavvy enough to do the work myself, and I really hate...

Usually if you are acute the fire dept will transport you. If you have no acute immediately life threatening injury they will arrange for a commercial ambulance. Actually, it depends on the municipality. In January Auburn FD started charging $$ to transport patients and now transports almost exclus...

I too have a DUI TLS suit, which I've had for nearly 5 years with over 720 dives on it. It's had seals replaced a few times but the suit itself is still holding up well and has many many dives left on it. Can't beat the customer service and 7 year warrantee with DUI either. I like trilam type suits ...

Exposure suits make great packing material, wrapped around regs, lights etc. I also stuff my small lights into my booties (protection). I pack as Amy suggested, regs inside BCD, fins on top for protection of the stuff below. Small box with SADK stuff, minimalist tho (fin strap, mouthpiece, few O rin...

Well, I don't know if it was Calvin's magic or that the Computer Gods have smiled upon me, but things are working this morning! It's been a long long time and I'd stopped frequenting because it was just too frustrating and time consuming. ](*,) A huge THANK YOU to Calvin for all the time and effort ...
