If you owned a boat you'd have more options :bootyshake: I think I've done Norrander's 3 or 4 times since I took you there. Typically as a 2nd dive of the day. The other 2 "Fingers" sites are deeper as you go south and with their squarer profiles they aren't so great. I have always used th...

Blakely Harbor orientation map

I made a map to help orient people to the Blakely Harbor area. There are 6 different sites within a ~1mile square area; sometimes using various names and hence discussions can be confusing. The sites are labelled 1 through 6 in red. I'm just using what seem to be the conventional names. Depths are m...

To my knowledge the Fingers never have any substantive currents on them; we dive them as a 2nd dive of the day all the time. Ditto for the Boss (if the OP ever finds it, lol) and China Wall. The "Fingers" (aka Norrander's, Liker's and Metridium wall) are basalt and are actually part of the...

There are three bouys at "Norrander's" One on each of the ribs (shown above with each rib named). The shallowest rib (northernmost) has the most life and is the most interesting to me. Max depth is 55ft or so. Bouys and their coloration come and go though.

Chev, I'm prety sure I dove that about a year and a half ago with Teal Water dive charter. They referred to them as the blakely Harbor wrecks. talking with Aquanaughtchuck I believe it was "The Boss" it had a bouy attached to it then. {Looking due east at the north point of Blakely Harbor...

While the upper wall is sandstone those lower ledges seemed to me to be made of clay. They sure do cut back into the wall alot.

The weight may have been ditched or lost on the surface, last I heard they sink \:D/

Yeah those are <lp72 type pressures. Do they have scuba valves in them? Can you post the rest of the numbers and a pic or description of any symbols (which are usually manufacturer related)? Dimensions help too. I am skeptical that any commercially available bands /valves/ manifolds will work.

Tolvia Shoal

Dive Site Name: Tolvia Shoal and artificial reef Skill Level: Intermediate and up Current Sensitive: Yes highly, located in the middle of the channel between Fox Island and University Place in Pierce County. Our current predictions weren't accurate so I can't advise on that. Bring a live boat. Locat...

That just says they are crommoly steel with a working pressure of 2015psi. Any other numbers up there? What are the dimensions?

Adding a little glycerin (~2% by volume) can keep the alcohol from drying out your skin. It can do that over the course a few days/week and create alot of irritation. Sounds like you have some skin irritation in there already.

I agree that the CIS is incredibly complicated and at the same time opens up some territory that a WKPP style effort just couldn't do. I forget the name of the zillion sump siphon Stone explored in MX. The book was cool even though they lost a diver on a CIS (as I recall he was diabetic and blacked ...

We have no shortage of vessels around suitable for sinking without the kaput ferries. I am continually surprised by Washington's capacity to "study" rather than make decisions LOL. I'm not really into wrecks and fake ones even less so, but I'm pretty sure 1.2 to 2.4 million is quite a bit ...

George Irvine (GI3) now basically retired from diving, builds fishing boat stuff now (and some scooters). Not exactly known for politeness. I'm sure George has argued with someone about virtually everything: primary lighting, redundant bouyancy, CCRs, 80% for deco, computers, independent doubles, lo...

Thermo is a company. They make alot of different kinds of valves:

One of many in their product line is a 200bar DIN convertible to a yoke valve with an insert. They call it the "pro" valve
