Re: An interesting twist - dog bites shark

Way cool! My brother's dog has been known to jump in the water and "retrieve" the fish he's trying to reel in. I don't think he's ever gone out looking for a fish, though...

Re: Hmmmm, Expert or Fool????

I have mixed feelings about Chris Fallows. On the one hand, he's a prominent and tireless advocate for the apex predator that made me want to start diving , he leads cage diving excursions to see sharks up close and personal in South Africa, and he's taken some amazing photographs of white sharks hu...

Did anyone take Dusty's light for a spin, and did DBrown recover his fins and boots? Don't know about Dusty's light (although I think I'm going to need to check one out myself), but dbrown got both of his boots and fins back! ktb went out with jenbowes and MattS and retrieved them. The boots were j...

Facebook music player?

I'm trying to market myself as a sax player more through social media (although to what end, I'm not sure :dontknow: ). I'd like to include some samples of my playing with a variety of acts on my Facebook fan page, but I'm kind of at a loss. Does anyone have music players on their page, and if so, w...

And I've dove there as late as 8:30 PM without a permit, too. I consider myself clear as long as it's light when I'm getting in the water. The dry dock is an awesome dive-highly recommended!

Re: Shorts with pocket attachments. Are they worth it?

I have the Dive Xtras X-shorts. Mainly I use them in the tropics for pockets on my wetsuit, but I have used them over a rental drysuit. It worked OK-it wasn't my favorite setup in the world, but the crotch strap on my back plate harness held the shorts up, so all was good! I think if you lived with ...

Re: Dive Lights

I'm going to agree with airsix. I bought my Salvo 10W HID used off another forum for $400 or so. I've since replaced the bulb, but even so, it was still cheaper than a new one. That said, there are some really cool LED lights being produced by the DIY folks on this board-you'd also be well served to...
