Re: Weezle Drysuit Undergarments for Northwest Diving

I put this off so long that there's now an opportunity to get a deal on a Whites Thermal Fusion. However, the Weezle Extreme seems like it's probably warmer... I gotta make a decision!

Re: Craigslist deals

Thanks for the lead!

Question is... what's better, a $200 Thermal Fusion or a John Rawlings $300 Weezle Extreme?

I'd hate to get the Fusion and then find out I still wanted another $100 of undies to layer with it. The Weezle sounds like it's all you need.

Re: LP hose to compressed air tool adapter -- local retail?

The system is about 250 ft of PVC with standpipes and faucets on each end and the middle. There is one low spot in the underground run where it's likely that water has completely filled the line, with no overhead air gap--but, it will still have expansion room on each end. The system can be left ope...

Re: LP hose to compressed air tool adapter -- local retail?

CaptnJack, that's a pretty good idea, thanks. I just replaced all my inflators but I did keep one of the old ones around as a spare since it still looked serviceable. My water line is PVC and rated for 200 PSI but it uses barbed brass couplers in a few places, and I don't know what pressure those jo...

LP hose to compressed air tool adapter -- local retail?

I need to blow out an underground water line for the winter. The line has 3 faucets on it--one faucet is the input and I use one of the other two faucets as as the output. I thought that using a scuba cylinder would be a good way to go, since I don't own a compressor for air tools. But, I don't have...

I haven't watched the movie yet and reserve the option to change my opinion and even throw up a little. But WaGigKpn makes a point that I have considered too. Without seeing animals I worry that they'll be out of sight, out of mind. Look what's happening to the coral reefs, which are definitely hard...

Re: Possible drysuit leak

I always had a hard time with the soapy water trick. Recently I read about filling the suit with some water instead--I tried that and it seemed to work well. You just need to make sure you keep the outside of the suit dry, or you'll never spot the new wet spots. And here's another vote for verifying...

Careful with the ginger, it's potent.

Re: How much rust is expected or allowable in a steel cylind

Only way to remove rust and put it in a baggie is to "whip" it with steel whipping brush and a drill.. and that takes all of 5-10min.. plus you need a fairly excessive amount of rust to get that much rust dust with a whip and at that point you need to really tumble.. Hmm, maybe they did s...

Re: How much rust is expected or allowable in a steel cylind

Thanks for the help fellas. I think I am going to be switching fill stations anyway, we'll see if that makes a difference. I'll also be extra sure to blow out the valve again before I drop them off.

How much rust is expected or allowable in a steel cylinder?

I recently had my steel 119s inspected and my LDS determined that they needed a tumble. Along with my inspection paperwork I got to see the rust removed from each tank... It was a very small amount of material, about as much as you'd get from a single grind on a pepper mill. (I can't show a photo, b...

Re: Another dive locker clean out!

I can't find a size chart for that Pinnacle garment--the design has changed and I think your previous version suit doesn't match the new size charts on the web site. Any feedback on the fit? I am 5' 9" and 175 lbs (sometimes less).
