Re: Playa 2012
Amazing shots! I'll have to look into this Aldora. I think my first dives on Cozumel were with Angel dive, who do 45 minute dives regardless of tank pressure. Thanks for the report.

Yeah, this this particular nut job, I would definitely not recommend not engaging... say whatever you need to say to end the conversation. Unless irrational conversation is your thing ;-)

Re: No boundary line at Cove 2
... Randy had the misfortune of having one fisherman doing the berserk dance on the dock yelling at him for being 'inside the legal boundary' and simply would not listen to Randy's explanation. Out of the water and still in the dry suit I figured it was just a simple misunderstanding and we...

Re: Norranders Reef to Metridium wall.
It's been a while but I've kicked out to Metridium and then made it (underwater) to Norranders. I think I had doubles. I probably did it on a high tide without regard to the local offset. The main problem with the site is that it requires a ferry ride to Bainbridge ;-) I guess I need to get back the...

Re: Porteau Cove, Howe Sound BC
Imagining what a wreck like this would look like even plunked down at 80 feet at the T Dock makes me wish we had an reef program like BC's. I was at Porteau Cove once about 3 years ago. I thought it was an awesome place to dive! Stairs to the water and a shower. It was really nice to camp right nex...

Yeah, and they're all in perfect harmony. And sending out mating calls even though they were finished breeding months ago. Seeing the UW associated with this 'story' is more embarrassing than ANY Apple Cup loss. I just want to point out that the UW doesn't have a "marine biology" departme...

I have to agree. Look at the map in the OPs link. Sounds like a boat (small one, going fast) or airplane to me.Greg Jensen wrote:No way it's a midshipman. Re: Portable Lightweight Decompression Habitat
When you're breathing 100% O2 the gas in the habitat has plenty of O2 (from the air or 32% it was filled with and 100% exhalations) Not sure about CO2 accumulation however, I'd have to do the math. For the 2 dives I've considered a habitat on, doing a shorter BT was a better option than the effort ...

Re: Portable Lightweight Decompression Habitat
Also good to know: you probably want to start by filling the bubble up with O2 but after people have been exhaling and off-gassing into it, you don't really know what you're breathing. All your deco is still on the loop. I still agree that it would be nice to have a seat, take off the mask and hood,...
