Re: Liquivision X1 Display

Wasn't aware of the auto dim feature on V-planner Live, Ill have to check into it. Sent email and pics out to Liquivison tonight. I have also had superior service from them in the past, they are a great company to deal with.

We dove in right behind your group, and did two dives at Jorstad. The vis seemed to open up at 80 + on the deeper walls

Re: Helium sensor

How was the known 45% made, is that just determined via another analyzer? Does its intermittent performance have any relationship with the flow meter you're using? Not only the 45%, just a example of the 5% bounce. I can turn it off and then back on when it changes, then everything is back to norma...

Re: Helium sensor

What analyzer and what sensor do you have? Unlike oxygen sensors that are basically electro-galvanic fuel cells and chemically wear out, He Sensors uses thermal conductivity to test content, so I would assume its probably 5-10 years in normal expectancy. That said, I have a DiveSoft Trimix analyzer...

Re: I know this'll bring interesting conversation (p-valve)

Alcohol won't hurt the valves, and it's not a terribly good disinfectant, so I wouldn't dilute it with water. But following an alcohol rinse with a vinegar rinse is not a bad idea at all, because the Pseudomonas bacteria that have been involved in some of the p-valve UTI cases are not very sensitiv...

Whats the average life expectancy ? Is 10 yrs expectable, or should it be changed more frequently ?

Re: I know this'll bring interesting conversation (p-valve)

Majority of all dives I use one, I feel its important to stay hydrated. Whats the best way to disinfect ? I have been using 50/50 water and alcohol, although I worry about damaging the seal.

Re: Reels

That's pretty deep to be shooting a bag, imo. I definitely prefer the sidewinder style, as opposed to an overhead handle. I have a Salvo 400' and Light Monkey 200' which I'm really happy with. I also typically have knots in my line, which is great for overheads. Not sure that's a good idea on reel ...

Help me out here. What does the OP size "regular" fit vs the XL and 2XL?

I'm willing to buy and try his F1s but only if they are going to work with a size 10.5 foot in a turbo sole.

Visit to doctor today, prognosis good :) X-rays and Spirometry report showed nothing conclusive. No Zebra's were found lounging :) Attributes symptoms to Bronchitis or inhaled irritant. Both regs are in for service as precaution. Thank you everyone for your concern and responses. :joshsmith:
