Great link... some tech diving history :)

http://thedecostop.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=11658&d=1244147468 From the thread about Menduno getting back into diving... For those of us who were doing it at the time, it brings back some pretty fun memories of an amazing time to be involved in the sport. Perhaps it will give a bit...

Once i figure out how to control the thing, me thinks it's the next step in monkey diving, evolution of scoo-toe-ring as seen in faisal's vids from the red sea, perhaps? Wooooooot!!!!! Gooch - let me know if you'd like to take an X-scooter for a spin sometime and I imagine it can be arranged (I do some demos for them) I don't dive gavins anymore, i've turned into a whimp and don't like carrying something that weighs twice for half as much fun ;) Run a CUDA at home and can pretty m...

WHAT?! a THINKING diver?!?!? ;) *kidding*

Looks like an awesome run. 3-3.5 hrs on a scooter is a long time in the 'saddle' even at the medium high speeds.
loanwolf wrote:I usually get about 3 to 3.5 hrs out the batteries current can make a difference on it so you have to be thinking. I am on a rEvo.

Re: How do you pee?

Thanks Richard :) :joshsmith: Now, Lynne, with regards to several wipes, I use one to 'soften the adhesive up' (put it on and let it sit for 30 second to a min, use that same one to gently kind of 'knead' or 'massage' the adhesive. After about a minute or so of this, the adhesive just starts to kind...

you won't regret it. three ways to do it... tandem - yup, you get to sit on the hot skydiving instructors lap ;) static line - (i've generally heard hop-n-pop's referred to as jumps on a cloud covered day where already trained skydivers open their chute almost immediately as they jump at 5000 feet) ...

Re: Dead Cabezons??

this is not a good sign. It may mean the O2 levels are dropping to critically low levels again. If you do a search for hood canal you'll see there are many threads and discussions, and even a news story about it. You can see pictures of how the oxygen starved animals look, so you can see/remember if...

okay, got some follow up from the instructor... if we have 6 peeps (really really 6 people) and we troop up there in clown car, the cost per person (min of 6 people in the class for our 'own' class) for the NAS intro to quite reasonable $90 canadian, plus the $35 membership fee. If we choose to arra...

I'm in the middle of finding all that out. The guy who teaches currently in Vancouver/Victoria supposedly only has 'privileges' to teach up there. So I've emailed NAS central back in the UK to help us figure something out. I have at least two more from 'other' lists, so i'd prefer to get us all toge...

Yet again (this happens every year it seems) I'm trying to organize a NAS intro course down here in seattle and if enough interest, a NAS 1 course (Nautical Archeology Society) via our neighbors up in B.C. http://www.uasbc.com/aboutnas.cfm If any of you have looked at the web page, the NAS 2 course ...

like i said, it was a humorous poke to lynne with regards to her long surface swim comment.

with regards to it being a substitute, you are 100% correct, it is absolutely not a substitute for proper planning and ideal resources.
