Re: CF200 vs. FLX Extreme

Have you looked at the CLX450? It's what I ended up with a few years ago as a custom build. I got mine entirely of the heavy weight cordura, which they'll do on request, instead of the lighter FLX material on the bottom with a cordura top. It works well in both places -- more rugged than the FLX (a...

Yes Sir! I concur, and some singles tanks, and setup dedicated singles regs.

CF200 vs. FLX Extreme

So a new drysuit is probably in my near future, and a DUI it will be. Let's keep this thread to the DUI suits at hand (I have the opportunity to get a good deal on a DUI, and that decisions already been made). However, what I'm curious about is this: I know some people now who have the CF200 and real...

Well put scott, as always!

Unfortunately I think this is the latest of several things I've heard that seem to indicate the EXPO is heading in the wrong direction.

I'm not working Thursday so I should be able to make it. And somehow TTN is a new-to-me dive site.

Re: MMM 2/18/13

Tides seem favorable for a Monday morning edition at the clay wall. Think my schedule is pretty open. I'd be open but I would need more information. I've done the clay walls once before, and that was with Matt planning the tides. I am open to the idea, what time? If it's too early I may be out on a...

Re: environmentally sealed or not?

For divers who are diligent about fresh water rinsing and are active locally I tend to agree with RJ it's over-hyped! However from a different perspective while we consider the NW cold water diving the guys in lake and quarries where it's 38 at the bottom year round and the water is Sans-salt (raisi...

Re: What's this second valve for?

We used H valves for ice diving in Ohio because we were diving shallow and didn't need the gas of doubles! It's easier to roll over and face up to play with bubbles on the ice and what not. In ice diving free flows are very common! Not as necessary in salt water! The thing to remember is that gas in...

Re: New fins

http://www.diverite.com/products/catalog/fins/es410 The dive rite exp fins are very nice fins. They're stiffer than the vipers are going to be but lighter than the traditional heavy rubber paddle fin, making them better for travel and warm water. They also seem to be popular in cave country in FL (a...

Furloughs at Work! Lets dive!

So beginning this week my work schedule will be reduced which will immediately result in me having every other Thursday off starting February 7, February 21 etc... I got to choose my day and chose Thursday since I know the Thursday South Sound Crew is pretty active! Staring April 15th if Congress do...

Re: Question re: new shiny

So I'm not really all that familiar with the DSAT algorithm, but based on my limited understanding its going to be more conservative than the modified Bulhman model! Certainly the RGBM is going to be very demanding from a decompression stand point, and I imagine the DSAT would be closer to matching....
