So Josh are you putting radioactive waste in your defogger or what?? Or is it just the black silicone mask and you cannot see it. One advantage or a disadvantage of the clear silicone.

Re: suppose you had some mildewy stuff growing in your mask

I pour Hydrogen Peroxide in the mask then use a kabob stick to scrap out the snot candy from the corners and seams while letting the HP in to sterilize.

Not sure of the costs just yet it will be at least 1 week on the boat. 2 days out 3 days on site 2 days back. If anyone is preliminary interested let me know. My guess is it will be 2....

Re: What CCR and Why?

Well this is coming (obviously) from a complete layman so maybe this is a stupid question but CCRs seem to be really pretty basic in their design. It doesn't really seem like there's a whole lot to them that couldn't be swapped or fixed with little more than a Leatherman and some spare parts at the...

I talked to Kirby and was unsure about what vis was going to be for you guys. but when i went down to the river and saw it had 5' of vis in it Saturday I knew you were going to have a good dive. She is my favorite wreck up here to dive next to the Bunker Hill. Josh did anyone make it to the bridge? ...

Re: Salt Creek - Straight of Juan de Fuca

Sail Rock, Seal Rock, and the Rock Garden are just off their also, the ANDALUSIA is located just under a half mile out and makes for a great scooter dive from shore. It is quite easy to find the ANDALUSIA if you follow the contour of the bottom. The spear fishing is great along that stretch as well.

They have a nice little HD camera. I have one and it does as good as some of my friends 2K plus cameras. Next weekend I am sure that they will have a booth at the Tacoma Dive Show. Check it out.

If you do not want to spend a whole lot of money and want something that does a great job good take a look at this one. It is not anything like a camera that cost thousand but it does a good job.

Laura I designed this and had a few cut out to mounted on any butt pack. I chose a OMS butt pack becuse i like to have the dry tube for sea-dye marker and a flare. You know those days when the boat is on the other side of the channel running back and forth looking for you and you can see them but th...

I went with OMS's work horses for my deco bottles they breath quit decent but only cost $140.00 each. It seams that deco regs get beat to hell all the time and one should not be working hard when on deco so they have worked fine for me. But yea you definitely need good flow on the primary. One thing...

Re: qualities of regulators?

As long as the second stage you are using is designed to operate at the same intermediate pressure that the first stage is designed to deliver, they are compatible. Almost, but not quite right. There are two types of designs of second stages, upstream and downstream, which, for simplicity's sake, r...

. Edit - I heard that diving between the ship canal and the locks was illegal, but I don't know where I heard that. In this case, the law and common sense would seem to agree. Yes, that is correct--it is in the Seattle Municipal Code. Ship canal out to through the Montlake Cut past Husky Stadium. {...

This is a good topic it gives people Ideas for things to put in the tool box. But be careful you can be opening yourself up for lawsuits should something go wrong and you did something that is not the standard. The good samaritan law is not very strong anymore. One main reason to remove the rig is t...
