Re: Tanks to Sell or Trade
We're trying to move away from the LP, so we might be interested in a trade for a couple of HP100s or something like that.

Tanks to Sell or Trade
We have three low pressure 108s that are just too much for us to carry any more. All are in hydro and VIP. One has a nitrox sticker on it but it's out of date for that. $150 each OBO. PM is fine.

...at least for a while. Scuba diving has been taking a greater and greater toll on my body thanks to all the various parts that are breaking down because they think they're getting old. I love the life in Puget Sound, but it's reached a point where the trade-off in pain and recovery time just isn't...

I highly recommend taking one of Janna's REEF critter ID classes. She covers lots of those critters and they're a lot of fun in the process.

Tuesday afternoon at Redondo Kathy found this brown rockfish with another fish sticking out of its mouth. We've been looking at the pictures she managed to get - he was not in a mood to sit still - and trying to identify the losing fish. I've tentatively concluded that it's a sculpin of some kind, a...

Welcome Randall! You'll find plenty of buddies and guides here. This is one of the most excellent groups of people I've ever gotten to be part of.

We arrived at Mike's and got our gear out in preparation for three days of diving. We had everything...except the bottom half of my undergarment. My Fourth Element is a two piece, and somehow the bottom half didn't make it in the car. It was in our room back in Spanaway. I had some fuzzy pajamas wit...

Yesterday my tank assembly just mysteriously took a header off a bench and landed right on the regulator yoke. You can see the result. RIP my really cool regulator

We found this nice healthy sunflower star yesterday at Mike's Beach Resort. He was at about 55 feet and looking fine. We only found the one, but I'm hoping it's a sign of things to come and they'll start coming back in the near future.

We once saw a huge group of them in a feeding frenzy on some tubeworms under the Edmonds Oil Dock. It was the most amazing thing I've ever seen on a dive.

I did manage to make all three dives the last day, and it pretty well did kill me. But I got better and we did another shore dive at Casino Point the next day. It was unbelievable. I've posted most of my pictures to my Facebook page, and later on I'll try to see if I can link to them here. Right now...

I don't know what the charter is. The shop is called Scuba Luv, and the boat is one that they were able to grab from Long Beach at the last minute. Here's a couple of pictures of the bat ray Kathy found yesterday. This guy was digging a huge hole in the sand; that's how they feed. We were able to fi...

Re: Hello From Catalina!
An ex-marine on our trip told me yesterday's trip was what the Marines called a "learning experience in flexibility." Because his 12-year-old son was sitting next to him, I said, "I thought the Marines called it a Charlie Foxtrot." He grinned and said something about young ears. ...
