I dove cove 2 last night and Muk Sunday morning. Vis was not great at either one; 5-10 feet, maybe a bit more below 100'. And I had a great time on both dives. Saw baby octos, ling, cabezon, and just had fun. Actually, some of my favorite dives have been in marginal vis- it doesn't bother me too muc...

Diverdown told me Muk was 5 feet or so this morning. I'm diving it first thing tomorrow, I'll let you know if it gets any better....

I speced:

No Velcro ankle and wrist cuffs

two pockets

no "J" shaped patches on legs

move vent from forearm to normal upper arm location

"sock" style feet w/ kevlar soles

To my understanding is the diver who passed away was not part of the training so how can anyone but himself be responsable for doing such dive. He certainly was responsible for his own actions, just as we all are. Read the rest of this thread for numerous explanations of the instructor's culpability.
