Re: Faber tanks?
Check the tanks when you get them. My wife ordered some awhile back, and they shipped from 2 locations, one they sent the correct fx tank, the other tank sent the heavy mid pressure hp100. They exchanged and ate the shipping. But that tanks first use was a loaner, and yeah, the person that borrowed...

Re: Faber tanks?
I have heard that the valves they come with are not the best but only heard that from one source and wanted to see if anyone else heard that.
Thanks for the info.

The 3180+ tanks are ghastly heavy but can be good for singles as you barely need a weight belt.

Re: Dive light
DRIS Scuba has a bunch of lights that meet your requirements. I have an older version of this as my backup light, which is surprisingly bright: http://www.diverightinscuba.com/lightsrecreationallights-drisdivegear-1000lumendivelight-p-3380.html They have quite a selection for your price range. http...

Dive light
Looking for a good dive light.
Would like to keep the price below $200, have it be LED, and at least 1000LM.
Anyone got any ideas or preferences?
Thanks

Re: New diver looking for gear recommendations
Not sure of your size or budget but there's a Whites Fusion Tech Hybrid drysuit L/XL on scubaboard.com that is new, they are asking $870 but looks like they will consider an offer. I have a similar suit with the Fusion undergarment, REALLY like it. I've gotta get out and try some stuff... And I am ...

Re: New diver looking for gear recommendations
Contact Norris if you're interested in a good starter drysuit. He's been storing my original USIA suit for a while. It may need a seal or two replaced, but it's in good enough shape to get you diving dry right away. If it fits and you like it, I'll sell it to you cheap cheap cheap. Will do sir than...

What type of dry suits does everyone recommend?
How is buying gear on the internet? Anyone have a good online site they use or recommend staying away from?

New diver looking for gear recommendations
All, I am getting my cert. at the end of the month and am itching to get out and do some dives right after. It has been recommended to me that I try out gear before I buy anything (always a good idea and great advice). I also want to do some research on gear and see what everyone likes. I am new so ...

Re: New Diver
Thanks everyone again. Yeah right now I'm in the itch of I want my own gear and just want to start diving! It's been over a year since my last dive. My plan on the wet suit was to stick with a wet suit for the first year (or till i get some more money saved up) then switch to dry. My concern with as...

New Diver
Hello all, I am obviously new to the forum. I have done three discover dives for a total of four dives and have loved it every time. After each time I wanted to get my certification so I could dive more. Circumstance have never been right for me to be able to get certified BUT things have aligned an...
