Redondo: where did all marine life go?
Hi all! Yesterday I and my husband went diving at Redondo beach in the midday i.e. pretty low tide. The water was cold (47F), vis okay but what stunned us both is that the place was almost bare! We saw a bunch of sea cucumbers and nudis - probably the only creatures who seemed more or less okay - bu...

Places to eat after diving?
As I stopped by the club dive crowd quickly last Saturday (had my whole family in tow, did one dive with my stepdaughter, had to fly off) I promised to share the location of a Mexican place near Redondo where we usually go but then thought I would rather start a new thread. Let's share your favorite...

Hi everyone! May I join you tomorrow too? Unfortunately both usual dive partners (my husband and my stepdaughter) are down with cold, I have been sneezing too much today but still seem to be fine, and I did Redondo a few times this fall so feeling more or less familiar with the spot.

Re: Night diving specialty - anybody teaching it now?
Thank you for the offer! I am looking to get a night dive training specifically - certification or not, but I want to be able to dive comfortably after work and hopefully join some local diving groups too. Also I am going on a dive boat trip soon and their last dive of the day will likely be a night...

Night diving specialty - anybody teaching it now?
Hi, Long story short: I wanted to schedule a night diving class, checked the internet, made a few calls but could not find a shop that would have it scheduled anytime soon - with one exception that I have some reservations about. So does anybody know where can I take a night diving class right now i...

Re: New diver intro
Welcome to the nitrox addiction! :) I hope we can dive soon! We have a group that goes to Redondo almost every Thursday (ththth) and another group that goes to Muck/Edmonds on Wed. Do you have your night diving cert yet? Thank you! Both Redondo and Edmonds are familiar sites, I have never been to M...

New diver intro
Hi everyone. I am the beginner diver certified 1.5 years ago. I got back into diving this August (Redondo, EUP, Sund Rock) and think it is a great hobby for me. My husband is my best and preferred dive buddy. However, our work schedules do not always let us to go diving together, and then the babysi...
