Re: Diving The New Shearwater OLED Predator
Mel is in Florida Cave Country teaching a CCR Cave Class and there are 2 Predators in use. Mel told me today that she can see the Predator 15 ft away in the cave and because of the 3 color screen (Green, Yellow, Red) she can tell if the person diving the Predator is keeping everything where it shoul...

Re: Liquivision X1
Actually, Shearwater to this day has not charged for any repair on the Pursuit or GF models, if we had a display failure for whatever reason, we would just change the display out, our unit is not potted and it makes repairs easy and more cost effective. It is a very reasonable position for any manuf...

As Tom said, Thanks for great report. I am glad that fellow Czechs were part of the effort, even if I don't know them personally  Jitka and Lubo are great divers and boat operators and run a first class operation and we have become good friends. They are bouyancy tubes that I made out of schedule 40 PVC pipe to to help support my 21 W HID light heads. This helps to keep my HD camera housing from wanting to roll over on me, they look funky but work well.

Re: Great diving in Lake Crescent this weekend
360ft - wow! I take it you didn't entrust your housing with the camera for this dive, hence no underwater pics/video? I'm curious how was the ambient light at depth? Was there any? No ambient light but I did take my housing with the camera to see how it would work and all was fine. I needed to know...

Re: Light & Motion Stingray Housing Crush Depth
Hi curt , I think the best way to test that is to get a Boat, go to lowes and buy rope, then weight your housing and throw it over board.. I'd also attach your dive computer to the outside with a zip tie.. Lower the Housing down to 300 feet and check it that way.. This is the best and quickest way ...

Light & Motion Stingray Housing Crush Depth
I have a Stingray HD housing that I would like to take to 350 ft diving the Bradley in LK Michigan in a few weeks. I am told that the factory depth rating is 300 ft but cannot get them to say at what depth it will actually break. Looking for more information on how conservative factory depth ratings...
