Re: Get to Know WAGIG better
Kpn will get along with Cory just great. Uh... Ummm.... Your first dive in years? Rent or borrow a BC, Reg? No offense, but I think that you may need to take a refresher course and brush up on some of your skills prior to doing a low vis, somewhat strenious dive as your comeback to diving after yea...

Re: PNW Spear Fishing Education...
Wagigkpn and scubnewb, there are plenty of spearos around here! Well, here "PNW", not here nwdc. Spearboard is a good place to get in touch with other spearos, as captain jack pointed out also. Yes, spearing is "controversial" on some interweb boards. A while ago there was a disc...

Re: Don't Mind Me.....
The culprit for this street sign has done more "good" for the T-Dock than destroying it. I just learned who the "culprit" is, and I agree, he has defiantly done way more good there than not so good. He's also a super nice guy, which makes me feel like an @$$ (not a new feeling b...

Re: Don't Mind Me.....
Where they came from is less important to me than the fact that they really don't belong there, along with the rest of the junk that seems to have sprouted up lately. I'm hoping that "deal with it" means removing it. Agreed. That is what I want to see happen as well. I agree too. Stolen/n...

Re: Don't Mind Me.....
Curious...what makes an object a "mess" or not? Could my buddy and I decide that the geodome is a pile of trash and go remove it tomorrow? I'm not sure where the "Mess/Not Mess" line is drawn. It's a grey area. However, when a person elects to steal property, possibly vandalizin...

Re: Don't Mind Me.....
I'm definitely with Joe (Fishstiq) on this one - for two aspects: 1) Thieves are despicable and, 2) unnatural garbage such as signs, plastic and toilets simply make what could be a beautiful underwater site look like a damn dump. Thieves who dump garbage underwater are even worse. Joe, I'm not back...

Don't Mind Me.....
.....I'm just here to complain. Dear self-made dive site fixer-upper person, I'm writing in regards to your recent efforts to improve local dive sites, specifically Mukilteo. While I'm sure your heart is in a good place, your head is up your backside. Recently your addition of at least 3 stolen road...

Re: Anti-spearos, why? NHZ please.
Really good answers and examples so far, thank you! I agree with what some have said in regards to spearing around other divers. Nothing good can come from that. It's irresponsible, and usually widens the gap between groups. I'm not against spearfishing at all ... reduces bycatch, and that's a good ...

Anti-spearos, why? NHZ please.
No, I'm not asking why people don't like Spatty. That's painfully obvious! :smt064 I'm just curious, for those who are against spearfishing, why do you think/feel that way? I won't argue any perspective that is given, I just really don't understand why someone would be against this type of harvest. ...

Anyone else notice a theme here? It would seem we have been betrayed by one of our own. P-Pants, your subtle sneaky subterfuge has not gone unnoticed, and your nefarious plot has defiantly been noticed. Now all we have to be is what to know of her being where the accidental was of her to have it. We...

Don't discount The Muk! My first adult seal, baby seal, red octo, red octo on eggs, sail fin sculpin, GPO on eggs, skate, grunt sculpin, and squid were all at Mukilteo. My first shark was at cove 2 and first wolf eel was at les davis, also "boring sites". I've learned there's no such thing...

The article goes on to explain that the whale was found dead in the water, offshore, not inshore. #-o 'It is sad. It was in shallow water of about 1.2m (4ft) to 1.6m (5.25ft), making contact with the bottom,'' Mr Gibson said. ''This was about 800m offshore . ''When it gets in that situation it roll...

Re: Recreational dive computer?
Uwatec bottom timer, hands down. Gives time, depth, average depth. Nothing fancy, no bells and whistles that you pay for and don't need. The battery lasts like 10 years, and Tobin makes a boot for it to wrist mount. They are around $250 or so.
