Re: Keystone this weekend?

Derrick, lemme know if you wanna car pool. I'm in Wallingford. Sure. Just DM me to arrange it. I planned on leaving by 11 so I'd have time to grab lunch. I usually count on the trip taking 2 hours. Also, the weather forecast says the wind is going to be blowing in a northerly direction, which (I th...

Re: Night dive at Redondo this weekend

I have been thinking about organizing regular night dives looking for six gills separate from the ThThTh or Bubble and Suds dives. Maybe rotate between Cove 2, Redondo, and anywhere else in the vicinity where there have been sightings. Anyone else interested?

I could do Monday. Want to make it a little later than usual just so we actually dive at night?

Basking Sharks, Oban, Scotland

Just got back from my UK vacation. Opened it up with some snorkeling with basking sharks through this company that runs out of Oban, Scotland: http://baskingsharkscotland.co.uk While they offer multi-day trips, I was only able to do a couple of 1-day tours. It's an 8-5 trip on a tour boat that holds...

Re: Wide angle @ Keystone

I'm still hopping mad about the time another diver scoffed at the idea that I would use a wide angle at Keystone. Glad to see you're proving him wrong.

Juvenile chinook salmon?

Saw a school of silvery fish in the shallows at Sund Rock yesterday. They didn't look like perch. Thought they might be young salmon. Looking at a fish ID book, Google, thinking they're juvenile chinook salmon. Does that seem right to someone more knowledgeable?
