I had a really nice guy lend me a drysuit inflator hose at Cove 2 last winter. I had just switched from my Diving Concepts drysuit to my DUI and didn't realize that the DC suit had a proprietary connector. So, after I was all geared up and trying to connect my DC hose to my DUI suit, I realized that...

I decided to make some pretty heavy duty health-related changes at the end of 2009. I reacquainted myself with the gym and started cooking healthy meals at home (well, actually, Psundquist does the cooking...I just cheer him on), rather than the 6-7 nights of takeout/restaurants that I had fallen in...

Eeek. Makes me sort of glad the resident tiger shark didn't show up during our shark dive last week. And the DMs told us the tiger shark isn't interested in eating people.....riiiiiigggghhhtttt.

We were there (Clear Lake) in July and went diving, but the ranger never mentioned anything about a cave (and none of us stumbled across it). In which part of the lake is this cave located?

Group hugs are way more fun if you do them AFTER everyone is drunk... especially when you wear that outfit in your avatar. I think they did a similar episode of Mythbusters, but instead they reduced the pressure (say, if you were flying and there was a loss of cabin pressure)...I don't recall there being an issue with that either. I saw that episode. I kept thinking "hmmmm...sudden loss of cabin pressure mid-fligh...

I do it so right that I sidemount my kids when I bring them into the house..... FAIL! SM is not DIR! Idle curiousity this morning....doesn't everyone get the PADI blue/clear ziplock bag full of OW materials - including the manual - when they sign up/pay for for OW class? (I seem to recall that happening when I took OW with four or five other folks.)

Or is that up to the individual instructor?

Don't make a newbie diver feel like a n00b. When I moved to Seattle in '08 I had no intention of diving here (too cold). Then hubby talked me into a drysuit class and the rest was history (and loads of scuba units, too). :) I visited lots of dive shops while I was "learning" to dive here. ...
