Glenn was great to dive with, didn't seem to bother him that I was a noob at all this, even after a bunch of questions about this that and whatever e...

Re: Oly area divers?

Cool vid MZ... thanks for posting it up.

If Viz is going to suck, then maybe it's not the time to do it.

Haven't done Hoodsport yet, but will be driving through there on Sunday afternoon/eve on the way back from Port Townsend.

Re: Oly area divers?

Anyone else interested in a dive next Monday or Weds eve out to the Tolmie barges? C'mon Wayne, we know you've been out there! Want to come out and get wet?

If I'm reading it right, looks like slack is around 5:30 with the tide going from a -3 at 2pm to a +3 at 8pm.

Re: Oly area divers?

I'm open to anything, Tolmie is supposed to be pretty cool, but a long swim out to the barge. Both Taylor bay wreck and Itsami are boat dives, so that'll have to wait for another time. Mon & Weds both are good for me too, let's see if we can get a couple more to come along, maybe someone who has...

The old Washington Divers dive club?

Anybody on this board been around long enough to remember (or maybe even belonged to) the old Washington Divers dive club? It was a club ran out of Bob Ballinger's Washington Divers dive shop. Just curious as my dad was NAUI cert'd through that shop and was a member of the club for many years (back ...

Re: Calling all spearfishermen!!!!! URGENT!!!!!!! Please re

So this thread thats linked in makes it very clear that this guy is calling for a standup between non comsumptive divers and consumptive divers.. i.e. He seems to think the only thing divers want to do is create a "petting zoo" out of fishing areas? As a typical newbie, I have been chatti...

Hadlock Bay - The Comet wreck - 5' or less, possibly 8-10' if you were hugging the bottom.

So we packed it in and went to

Ft. Warden Marie Sci pier - Easily 20'+ - Absolutely beautiful after Hadlock bay!

Hi Glenn,

A bottle hunt would be awesome! Will have to give the Water st. a go... Thanks.

Yeah, know all about the parking in town on the weekends... LoL! We did the NW Cider Fest down at the Maritime Bldg last Sunday, that was fun and tasty!

Re: Port Townsend dives?

Thanks for the post Dusty. Thanks for the info on the current differences. The heaviest current I've been in was off Marrowstone at the sub net pillings, glad I had my iDI power fins and not the split fins. I don't know how to rate current yet, but the kelp was waving at me and the debris was stream...
