Re: Seriously Annoyed....

this who thing is kind of like Shops that require an eddy current on all Al Cylinders. Catalinas and new luxfers dont need an eddy current, and for that matter don't even work on these tanks, since it is looking for a specific Alloy that they are not even made of. At least thats what PCI (formerly P...

Turns out BigSky either didn't understand why that line was down there ... ... Bob (Grateful Diver) http://dcsfilms.com/Site_4/Lake_Union_Targets.html here's a link to Dan's video he shot, watch it and tell us (TEAM US) that line is laid in some manner that can actually be used to survey. :nutty: M...

#3) Preaching to the choir rarely accomplishes anything positive ... ... Bob (Grateful Diver) is that why solo diving works for you? what if you are diving alone (even with AL) and you get tangled up in this line, no one is there to help you, what then? maybe all this preaching will accomplish a sa...

This whole line thing is not a Joke, its like spray paint. the guy who tags the train, bridge, or fence never has to clean it up. just like the careless divers who leave line, never clean it up. so don't leave line. and if you must leave line, then leave a note so others know you will be back. Or Te...

Re: Welcome to Cold Weather!!! Sale on Weezles!!!!

So if there is one thing worth buying for scuba diving in the PNW its a WEEZLE hands down. I use my extreme down to depths of 300+ fsw/ffw and wouldnt be able to do the hours of decompression with out it. its warm, wicks and drys fast if you have a flood. LCF if you are wondering if its worth it, ye...

Re: Decompression and dive computer

This may be an 'off the wall' question... My Gekko computer manual explains what happens to the computer when the decompression limit has been ignored and the dive becomes a decompression dive...Now I can read the manual several times and try to memorize its content but should I deliberately put my...

uhhhh, left over mix is for deep dives. the run about boat is only at 120 fsw. i just did it on air, no need to waste Helium. but you should go check it out,

Re: Need advice re undergarment

buy a dry suit, you'll be warmer. they are cheap on craigs list. my first suit was 75 dollars and i used it for 120 dives. used 10 tubes of aquaseal but it was warm and dry till the zipper busted. buy a dry suit and dont waste money on trying to make your semi suit warmer, you will be happier diving...

So it seems that I'm slowly drifting towards UTD or tecreational diver. No it means you are drifting towards a streamline Hogarthian (spell check) harness. people just don't get it. UTD is not DIR Get that out of your heads people. they are not the same, they both just use HOG style harnesses. If p...

Uhhh, dont you dive a rebreather, isn't that like being a total hypocrite hosting a GUE Tweek and then going and diving a rebreather. Bad ass though, I love people who dont follow the rules. GUE teaches a rebreather course, and Halcyon sells a rebreather, so there's definitely no rule against rebre...

Yeah i would have to say BASS too. Interesting that i have never seen that adipose fin standing up that high, but clearly it is larger. I still say the taste good though and should not be treated as sport fish but rather food fish. :burntchef:
