Re: NWUE Buddy Group
Kate, I haven't taken the GUE fundamentals yet... I know little to nothing about team oriented diving... but of late I tend to dive with DIR or tech diver types. I'm a year into having DIR tech diving compliant gear. Maybe 30 dives in my singles rig? While I was certified in 1992, for intents and pu...

WTB: Scubapro MK25 DIN First Stage
Does anyone have a MK25 they would like to part with? I don't need a second stage, but know someone that does if you really must sell with a 2nd. It is the past piece to my doubles puzzle ;) I've also posted at TDS and SB too... but figured I might as well canvas all the forums that help me cure pro...

Re: NWUE Buddy Group
All, Did you folks know that there isn't any sort of contact info on the NWUE website? At least none that I was able to find... However I could have just man-looked. I would suggest a link to the yahoo group (which I just joined) somewhere on there. Hopefully I'll see everyone on Tuesday. Thanks muc...

Re: You may want to re-think your offer...
Reading this post I was reminded that calamities happen to new divers and even folks who have been diving for a while. There is no need to be embarrassed at all. This past winter I got together with some new dive buddies back in my former home of Boston. We decided that heck or highwater we were goi...

Re: Drysuit training
All, I may be coming a little late into the thread but figured I'd comment anyways. When I purchased my drysuit last April my former LDS (in Boston) threw in a PADI drysuit class. While I don't tend to use my suit for buoyancy, I'm sure glad I learned how to do so. It made me less fearful of managin...

Re: In Seattle for the month
All, A friend and I made it up to Edmonds Sunday morning. Wow that place is a real national treasure. Many thanks to the guy that walked us out onto the jetty to give us a little tour. Dan maybe? He said he was an underwater photography dude. Whoever he was he proved once again how friendly NW diver...

Re: In Seattle for the month
I personally have no beef with shallow-osity. Some of my most mind blowing experiences underwater have been totally shallow. However I'm pretty interested in dialing in my buoyancy the next time out and would prefer to be in 30+ feet or so... and wouldn't be all that psyched to have a long kick-out ...

Re: In Seattle for the month
Hey All, Pez: Thanks for the links... and the LDS recommend. The stupid straps I bought before I left are way too small for me. Bassman: I'll send you a PM over the weekend about night diving during the week. It might also motivate me to buy a light ;) Jackieg: If you're ever back in Boston let me k...

In Seattle for the month
Hey all, I'm in Seattle for a month or so from Boston and I've got my dive gear with me. I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on a charter boat for this coming weekend... or maybe a fun shore dive? I'm looking for something that leaves from in and around the city if possible. A local fr...
