It sounds like you did an excellent job of weighing the risks - I'm not sure if I would have had the foresight to do the same. I've lost two to flooding, but I was nowhere near that deep. no, the uwatec bottom timer is just a timer - backup for if your computer dies; not backup for if your spg dies. and yes - if it came down to it, you really should be able to safely ascend at a rate that won't kill you without the help of any gauges or computers whatsoever. hopefully you aren't divi...

i'm not really into plastic bumpers either, but my range rover had a chrome bumper and while it looked nice, it was not something you wanted to have to replace. chrome doesn't play well offroad. i will say that's a pretty nice-looking auto you've got there ... but it doesn't look like much of a scub...
