Re: Smokey Point still around?

SPD is for the most part our LDS, With the limited inventory it doesnt look good, but from what we hear they are going to be restocking with many new gadgets and suits etc. We sure hope so, as of right now we are trying to get a drysuit for the wife, so we of course went there first, but they only h...

Re: Mukiteo Monday Madness 1/4/09

I am going to try and make at least the second dive at the t-dock, not sure I will be able to get there in time for the dive at the wall. My drysuit is in for a neck seal replacement, so I will have to dive wet, (another factor that I am still trying to decide if I want to do) Sheahan, if you need t...

Everett Underwater Sports is officially closed I was announced before the holidays MAN!! That SUCKS!! We were at Seattle Underwater Sports this evening, they told us the Everett store was only moving and would be opening back up in March. Re: D400 regulator and SmartCom advice needed

Thank you very much to everyone for their advice. It seems like either our laptop integrated irda wasn't working properly or it is not compatible with Smart Com. Following your advice we bought Irda adapter on amazon Cables Unlimited USB1510 USB Acc, USB To Irda Adapter and it found the computer wit...

Re: Different drysuits - which one for me?

LCF and airsix, thank you for your input. LCF, one thing I definitely want to avoid - is wasting money on the drysuit, so while budget is tight - I would still prefer to go with the warmest option even if it sets us back for a few months. Thank you for such a detailed decription of different types. ...

Re: Different drysuits - which one for me?

Mattleycrue76, thank you for your response. I fit into traditional sizes, it's confusing at times since the "M" means different things with various brands. Budget is tight, that's why that Mares seemed like a good option. Are you saying I can still put regular undergarment (like the one un...

Different drysuits - which one for me?

Now that Mrs and Mr Tumbleweed are working rigorously to get out of the tumbleweed status, I have an advice to kindly ask of you, folks. Last week my husband (owner of a drysuit) and myself (renter of a wetsuit) went out for a few dives in Edmonds and Mukilteo. To my shame and despair -I think I hav...

That is one beautiful place to go diving! Your experience is absolutely unbelieable...feel bad for the old man.
To the wetsuit diver - my respect.

2) We seem to struggle connecting this computer to Smart Trek software, it just times out too fast trying to connect to the unit through IR port. Anyone had a difficult time with this and was able to resolve it? You might have to disable McAffee, if you have this as a security program on your compu...

Re: D400 regulator and SmartCom advice needed

You can't buy scubapro parts kits easily - they are only sold through shops by and large. They are rarely available off the internet if you have the right connections. So its unlikely you will be able to "pre-buy" a service kit for the D400 and use it later. In all likelihood you will nee...

D400 regulator and SmartCom advice needed

My husband bought D400 and SmartCom used on craigslist and now I have a few questions/recommendations to kindly ask you. D400. Sent it in for service (the original owner had it sitting in his garage for years), they replaced parts, said the diaphragm was partially torn, so had to replace it as well....

Thanks for the warning - what an excruciating pain in my ears, for those interested in "conversation part" of that video -all he asked her to do - was to show her driver's license and she kept saying "arrest me, arrest me". I think my 2 year old can't hold his screaming pattern T...

OMG, I love this thread - so informative - now I know that some folks heard of or know about Mamaliga!

I spent my childhood on the Black Sea (Odessa, Ukraine), never as a diver so would not have an input other than what I read on other forums; have fun in Romania!

Re: Maui dive operators??

My husband went twice with Mike Severns and was very happy with them. His instructor during OW class recommended them and then contacted Pauline and the crew to assure that even though he was brand new and they do cater to more experienced divers - that he was likely to do great. Now that I am certi...

Newbie from Arlington, WA

Hello everyone! I have been reading up on this site for a few days now and decided to register and start participating. My husband and I are both OW certified, he got his OW back in August, I just got mine in November. We are both planning on doing AOW sometime soon. While my husband is, I believe, ...
