Re: White's Fusion Bullet

Hey everyone. I am in the market for a White's Fusion suit and I am torn between the Bullet and the Tech suit. I have read where some think the Bullet is too thick and takes too long to dry along with being heavy. Also, I have read that the Bullet limits your mobility more than the Tech or the Spor...

Re: WDFW GPO update: Seacrest Cove 1,2,3 now included in opt

I think that the easiest way to resolve this would be to close the very popular dive sites to any harvest by divers. Never mind the hook and line guys. I'm guessing that about 90% or more of us can agree that there shouldn't be any hunting going on in places like Redondo, Les Davis or Cove 2. As fo...

Re: Viz Reports Thread

So weird on the canal . Thursday evening was amazing, 30 feet everywhere . Friday afternoon, crapola, could not see your feet until you passed 50 feet. Then it was a night dive with about 10 feet of viz. Saturday AM I warned my buddies to be prepared for close quarters diving . Well, it was bout 20 ...

Re: How many Cu ft. for a drysuit bottle?

I see people with those LP 8cuft tanks for argon, they just look a little too big for me. I am a big fan of my 6cuft tanks for argon, I'm usually around 3/4 dives, but I use a 13cuft tank for purging my suit first, that one lasts most of the winter. 8 CF = easy to fill, 2015 working pressure. But t...

Re: Anyone know whats up with Diving Concepts?

Several local dealers have been trying to get hold of DC for the better part of a month. Their phone answers and you can leave a message. We're all used to that as for the better part of a year I have not been able to talk to a human being unless they decided to call me back to comfirm orders left ...

Nice to meet you on that Thursday Tom. :)
Did you see a bunch of them?
We have seen them in fairly large numbers on the flats about 110 fsw.

Thanks LCF. It really just surprised me is all. I've had curious octos wrap me up a bit, but never had one actually shoot towards me. This was the same one from the night before I believe as the body marks that look like healing spots appear to be the same. When diving with my FIL and wife I usuall...

Re: Yelloweye at Sund Rock

I was doing my normal Friday afternoon dive plan at Sund Rock yesterday. Splashed about 4:30 or so. Very low tide. Did a long surface swim out and dropped down about 80' or so. Continued down and hit a large set of boulders at about 155'. Much to my surprise and delight this individual was among th...

Re: TITLOW & MAURY PILLING REMOVAL?!?!?!!!!

If I hadn't thought that budget cuts put an end to this nonsense, I would have made this suggestion a while ago. Petitions are all fine and good, but the truth is that the diver community isn't THAT big. We need to get more of the general public on board and aware of what we lose when they take out...

Found Someones Mask at Sund Rock

Hi,

While testing a dry suit yesterday (12/11) I found a nice, new looking, top end, Oceanic Mask and Snorkel. The gear was in about 5 feet of water right at the entry ramp.

It is at Hoodsport N Dive.

Re: tank straps and BP problem.

I guess if I have to go with an STA, a weighted is better, as I need to carry 10 pounds of trim weight, so a weighted STA is better. I suppose a Halcyon, or whatever.. Note: not sure a weighted STA will work, as maybe wont get the weight high enough like trim weights on the top band. Weighted STA =...

Re: Dry suits... What do you dive?

I don't like the Bullet skin. I really don't think you gain much of anything with it, and you lose flexibility, lightness, and ease of care. The zipper isn't a problem with a backplate harness. The zipper does have a stress point where it curves over the shoulder, and that's where my first one even...
