Re: Diving with Menieres.

That makes me wonder if I could reduce my salt intake and reduce the ringing in my ears too. My ears ring all the time. I don't use that much salt though, at least I don't think I do. If you don't mind me asking...what was your salt intake like?

Re: Diving with Menieres.

My dad had this when I was a kid, I am sorry to hear you are having to deal with it. My dad was a diver back then and gave up diving when Menieres set in on him. He had other medical issues to go along with it though and that was many years ago so I can't say for sure that it was the Menieres that ...

Re: Diving Redondo this weekend

Wow Lynne, I hope your dives weren't too tough. Sounds like you were not having a very good day. Danee and I are not going but the others look like they are going to give it a try. I was in the pool tonight testing out some gear and my sinuses were not happy at 10' so I am bagging the dive this wee...

Re: Diving Redondo this weekend

Thanks Lynne. Not sure what is going to happen just yet. I am waiting to see what our dive coordinator says. I could see us postponing this dive due to the high winds. I hope your dives go well today.

Re: Diving Redondo this weekend

Thanks for the info. Our dive coordinator just posted on Facebook that he is watching the weather closely. He suggested that we might change our plans and go to Les Davis. I have never dove this location before so I do not know if it is any more protected than Redondo would be. As for my experience...

Diving Redondo this weekend

Hey everyone, our club is supposed to dive Redondo on Sunday but this storm that is supposed to come in has me wondering if it is a good idea or not. Can anyone that has dove Redondo give me an idea of whether you think it would be wise to postpone the scheduled dives until a later date or if you t...

Re: Got one heck of a deal last weekend

I don't know if it is just me or what but my SAC dropped a pretty amount on the first two dives with this new reg set. I am hooked on them.

I will putting up my ScubaPro Mk11's and my HOG Zenith up for sale in the next couple of days.

Got one heck of a deal last weekend

I was visiting my LDS last Saturday and introduced a buddy of mine that is in town from Brisbane Australia. During our visit to the shop the owner brought out a pair of brand new ScubaPro Mk25/S600 DIN regulators that one of his assistant instructors had put up for sale. My buddy showed interest in...

Here is a pic of the set up I am using right now. http://i106.photobucket.com/albums/m272/whodini64/Daves%20Scuba%20Diving%20Pics/DSC02854_zpsea49baf8.jpg And here is a video I shot on the 29th at Edmunds. For some reason, the sides of the video are all wobbly which I don't understand. When I look ...

Re: GoPro Mounts

I tried the pole type setup that was about 24" long but found that you have to consciously slow down your movements otherwise you find your video zipping all over the place. I have used the head mount also but I put my hood on then pull it back and then put on my head strap pulling my hood up ...

Re: Tech Divers at Cove 2 this Wed?

Might have been more people if you would have opened it up to all divers OOPS! My bad. It didn't occur to me that my post could have been taken this way, but you're right. Poorly written on my part. That one went way over my head. I read it as he was wondering if anybody was gonna be diving new gea...

Re: Dry suit versus BC buoyancy question

alm, if you are experiencing squeeze in your lower body and legs, it's because they are below your torso. Physics is inexorable . . . air will always move to the highest point in the suit. It's very common, with the large amounts of weight we need to use in Puget Sound, for people to end up feet-lo...

Re: Dry suit versus BC buoyancy question

@alm: The bubble issue is part of the reason why we went with White's suits. My wife and I did quite a bit of research and most people said they had to re-learn buoyancy because of the bubble in a bag suit. My buoyancy only got better when I went dry and my wife too. We took to our White's really w...

Re: Dry suit versus BC buoyancy question

I will throw another one in here now. I use my BC for gross control and my suit for fine control. Usually as I descend I use the BC till I am almost neutral, then make minor adjustments with the suit. Sometimes if it is cold I will run a little more air in my suit. I know when I have too much air i...
