If I don't get a fill in time or don't come up with another solution before then, I might take you up on it.

Re: A More Elegant/Cost Effective Solution??
I understand everyone is different and have different tolerances to water temps. Just don't underestimate what a full belly and full blood volume will do for your comfort level. I have friends that wear longsleeve polypropolene undershirts under their wetsuits when they dive warm water in the winter...

Was thinking 2
Does anyone know of a place to get fills close to Redondo? If I can get my tanks filled close by I'll do 3 even 4 dives.

Re: A More Elegant/Cost Effective Solution??
If you're hydrated and well fueled (had a good meal the night before and a good breakfast) a 4/5mm full wetsuit should be enough to keep you comfortable in waters that at depth (100ft) are 68-70F. Making sure you are hydrated and fed is far more Elegant and Cost effective than buying a drysuit for w...

I'll vote for plain stupid.

Re: Best dive destination/resort/value help!
Went to Kona, HI in Jan, went out with Big Island Diver's. Hotel and airfare was pretty cheap, I booked 20 dives with their multi day discount it averaged out to 65 bucks a dive. With the current economy I would recommend looking at US destinations, but outside the US I'm a big fan of Okinawa and th...

I came across a toilet bowl in about 45fsw today that had a tag on it. The only part not covered by growth I could read was "Official game piece do not disturb"

Comfortable with night diving, just I haven't negotiated a night diving pass from my wife.

Re: Does anyone do day dives during the week?
I am thinking about doing a dive on Monday Feb 29th. As far as where I am open. Anyone want to carpool from the Portland area? Is it a leap year? :sunny: A few of us are meeting at Les tomorrow at 0930. Saw this and was going to head to Les in the morning, but my wife is telling me I have other com...

Re: Does anyone do day dives during the week?
Diverbob, the 9th is a little bit far out to plan, but if you or anyone else is up to it I'm game. I've been wanting to see what the structure looks like and what's decided to move in. For next week since current will be an issue at my first choice, I've never done Sunnyside and it's not supposed to...

Re: Does anyone do day dives during the week?
Cardiver, if currents are gonna be an issue, where do you suggest?
I never claimed to be a local expert, just looking to go diving during the week.
I'm also kind of hopeful to find some of those widely mentioned friendly knowledgeable divers that are always talked about on the intro page.

Re: Does anyone do day dives during the week?
So of all of you who have posted so far, how about a dive Tuesday morning? I'd like to do Saltwater state park, but if the swim out to the new structures is too much, where do you suggest? I'll go.

Re: Does anyone do day dives during the week?
Wish I could, but tomorrow my wife has some stuff she has to do in the afternoon so I got to be home by 3 to watch the kids.
Next week I'd be willing to do head up north if that's where the diver's are.
