Re: Ocean Plastic Waste: A Problem Globally & Locally - What Can We Do?
It’s so strange that styrofoam recycling isn’t more widely available (for example, accepted in our recycling bins). I remember in college chemistry class we made, then reversed styrofoam and it was a fairly simple chemical process (easy enough for us idiots to carry out). When converted back a huge ...

Instructor Recommendation for Junior OW
Looking for an instructor recommendation for a friend whose kids are 13 and 11. He wants to do a referral certification, doing the open water portion of their training in Hawaii, so looking for an instructor to do the class and pool portions here locally. Some OWSI are better with kids than others, ...

Andaman Island not Andaman Sea, right?
Sadly the famous huge/beautiful male swimming elephant passed away in recent times.
I don’t think there’s much great stuff to see diving-wise there, but it is a gorgeous looking place and it’s on my list of places to get to eventually.

Do You Use Tapatalk?
Hello Folks, I just wanted to take a poll to see how many of us are using Tapatalk to access the board (versus just visiting the board directly via a mobile or desktop browser). The answer to this will steer our development decisions. Feel free to chime in if the poll answer isn't enough to voice yo...

Hello John and welcome to NWDC! Can you tell us a little bit about you and your dive history, so folks know what type of buddy pairing and time/place might make sense to meet up for a dive? Also, please know that automated bots may scrape the forum for email addresses and such, given it’s a public f...
