Re: NWDC Activity...
I am brand new to this site, and I can't tell you how helpful it has been to me. Everyone is willing to provide input and I have been able to weed out my gear and resources to get to the good stuff and save time and money directly through this venue. I have connected with one diver already and we te...

Well you would have to be geared beforehand, if using said device.

where is the spot for the gear? I mean you need some storage on that thing. There isn't even a rack! Epic design flaw.

Re: New diver(s) in Beaverton
I believe that all the shops down here required at least some sort of class (cerfication), or orientation before they hand you a suit. The class I am taking is integrated into my OW class for an extra $100. That hundred is given back when ever you buy a suit from them. It is required to rent from th...

Re: Need a womans perspective
Thanks for the reply ladies, and the men have been very helpful as well. Laura, I am wonder what you like for dry suits. I know you probably have tried a few. I was looking at Whites, because they are handing out rental suits by the truck loads. But, really I will trying a few before I get one. I wo...

Yes, agree about the non-integrated computer I was happy to hear that I didn't need one, and relieved. Thanks for the link, Lynn

Re: Computers
Thank you, it has been so long since I have done any diving, I thought that they had integrated everything into a computer. I didn't really feel very comfortable with that, so I was going to get a back up system anyway. This takes some of the guess work out of what I was thinking around gear.

Re: Computers
OK, this goes without saying, but air integration doesn't come on all computers. To me that sounds weird. What are you timing?? I mean I guess it doesn't have to be connected to the air but it seems silly not to be intergrated to the tank??? I just assumed it would tell you your depth, and pressure,...

Ok so here is my thought process. I can't really rent lights fins mask snorkel. I bought fins mask and snorkel. But I would like to buy a main light and a good general knife.

Now I am confused again. . I am going to have to have some help from divers. Dris looks pretty good. I really like the light and the price they also have a back plate harness that looks very impressive

Re: Getting in shape for diving and for life.
I too decided about 5 years ago to go back to the gym and went on a stringent diet. I lost about 45 pounds, and did a sprint triathalon. I loved it. My father fell ill and I stopped going to the gym because of his constant care, and then went back to school. With work I currently have very little ti...

Re: wet suit poll
Am I and my son the only ones who still dive with wets suits or are there others out there in scuba land who also appreciate the simple, low cost, joy of being one with the water. Feeling that cold liquid slowly putting your body to sleep is part of the experience. Or am I just strange? I hear that...

I haven't bought suits from them, but have picked up some other items, and I am impressed with shipment times, and customer service so far.
