Awesome. 3 weeks and we will be there. I see Dusty lights in there. Now I won't feel bad brining our Dusty lights :partyman:

Re: Sund Rock: 11-10-2013

Beth and I just did our first dives there on Sunday as well. It was amazing. We dove Mikes Beach last year with a group and it was nice, but not worth the extra miles. We are coming from the east side of the state so we dive Redondo and Alki quite a bit. Well Sund Rock is amazing, it was one of my f...

Re: WTB tank valves

Makes sense. I have 4 AL-80 tanks that need valves. Was looking for Thermos since that is what I have on the rest of my singles. I was looking for the DIN that way if I ever decide to use them for stage/deco tanks they are ready to go. But for now even if there are some decent Yoke vales around that...

WTB tank valves

I need 4 valves to get some other tanks I have into service. I would prefer Thermo convertible DIN valves. I know I can get them anytime online for $50 each but figured there might be a few laying around not being used. If I can not find any of these for the right price Yoke valves would work also. ...

Re: "Historical" sites

Thanks for the info guys. I got a PM the other day from a person that is going to get me some information and the contact person for this. This site is in ID so I will not bother DNR about it. I just know a few of you guys have done some of this kind of work so thought I would ask.

D70s, Aquatica, DS-50

I just did a camera upgrade so now selling off my old stuff. I am at least the second owner, but I believe I am the 3rd owner of this set up. It is fully functional but in used shape. I have been using this set up just over a year. I tried to get good pics of any damaged areas. I used this set up la...

It was not so much a question of what one fits because they all do. The question is what is better and why?

Camera Upgrade

I have been using a Nikon D70 in an Aquatica housing with an 8" dome port. It has dual DS-50 strobes on Ikelite 6"x5" arms with a dual sync cable. I have been using Nikon 10.5mm and 60mm lenses. I just bought a pair of YS-250 strobes with accessories the other day. Tonight I made a de...

Re: Missile Silo Dive

Bob Bailey (greatfuldiver) did this dive with us and he thought it was worth the trip from Federal Way...... You don't have "time" to get bored. Basically you drop down to the bottom which is max 110'. Being on air that is a bottom time of about 12 min. So make a loop or two while taking p...

Re: Missile Silo Dive

Dive time is however long you want it to be, just no deco. I have not looked at our computers yet but I would say about 45 min each. Max depth was 105'.

"Historical" sites

We have a dive site in our area that I have some questions about. One part of the site is very commonly dove and nothing to "mess with". The site technically is Federal land and it has their standard "no metal detecting or removing things" signs up. One of the things at this site...

Fresh water fun

It sucks not living by the ocean but even in fresh water you can find dives worth doing. This was a ferry dive we did last weekend.

Re: Shops in the area that fill using a water bath

One thing I have found interesting is that in Fire/EMS filling tanks is generally done in some kind of "container". A lot of fire stations have big steel enclosures that the tanks go in. Others basically have heavy wall pipe you drop the tank into it. I have not seen anything like that in ...
