And while they have it closed for the Kim Bassinger movie, they figured they'd install that ladder.

This is a popular fishing site. There is a stupid amount of monofilament all over the place.

I'm not willing to waste more than 30 minutes trying to find one but did here:

You pretty much have to search for "uwatec timer -computer" to get rid of all the Galileo and Aladin noise :)

Thanks! They are shy but very attractive! (there are some deep ones you can reliably see in log holes at Cove 2.)

Epic Viz at Cove 2 this morning (Sunday)

COVE 2, 8-9 AM THIS MORNING, SUNDAY. EASILY FIFTY FEET :taco: :taco: :taco: Decided to try to beat the crowd and met at Cove 2 around 7:30 am. Parking was getting slim already and some classes already had students in the water. I think the tide was coming up from a -1 and was around 0 or 1'. Made it...

Re: "Can't miss" features along the west coast?

+1 on Yank Sing and driving your car through a Redwood (one that already has a car sized hole and road going through it ;-) Mt. Tamalpais should be on the way and I thought was a cool (short) hike. I have NOT been diving in Northern California yet (shame on me) but recently found this resource: http...

Re: No boundary line at Cove 2

FWIW I think the cove 3 side of the boundary line was dislocated AFTER the water taxi construction. Our guess was it was snagged by an anchor and dragged deep.

Re: dive computer recomendations

That's true, and he's dedicated to the LV line of products. However, it's my understanding that the X1 needs to be sent to the factory for repairs ( I don't know about the Xen or Xeo) whereas Curt does a lot of repairs in his home for folks. I'm not aware of any service or repair on anything LV wit...

Re: Viz Reports Thread

I forgot to mention... the other night at Redondo 8/14, there was the most intense bioluminescence I've ever seen! If you turned off your light you could see your buddies, your hands, legs, scooter clearly by the aura of green! Amazing!

Can you explain your comment “worried about future support” a bit more please? It seems as if the Xeo could be seen a replacement for the X1. X1 fans would say no, but Liquivision worries me from input seen around. Example: http://thedecostop.com/forums/showthread.php?50743-Why-Shearwater-over-X1 L...

Re: dive computer recomendations

And Diver den how is the predator for user ease. how would you compare it to the iPhone of cells phone world. Does it have a lot of button sequences to toggle through to get to everything ? There are 2 buttons and oodles of screen real estate. I found it relatively easy to learn. Essentially you ha...

Re: dive computer recomendations

I'm a tec ccr diver but of course I started out like you and everyone else. I'm not really in the mood for extended elaboration right now because this is always a hot topic but since I've started using both an X1 and Predator lately, I think the Shearwater Predator is reigning champion. I wish it we...
