Northwest Dive Club

Thats awesome, alki beach is only 10 minutes from my house. That would be cool if you could show me a little, I have a basic understanding of how tides and currents work, but not with respect to dive planning in the Sound.

I should probably be avoiding currents for now seeing as how few dives I have, so one dive is probably a good ideaa for me too. Are most dives around here generally planned at slack tide?

Good to know, thnaks for the advice everyone. For some reason I thought it would be harder to find a buddy since Im new... Ill hopefully be getting my own gear in the next few days, and once that happens Im going to dive as much as I can!

Hey everybody, I'm a Seattle resident who just got open water certified three weeks ago, and loved it. Havent dove since due to a cut on my foot, but thats healing and im eager to dive. I havent done any post cert dives, so i guess im "green as grass", but i hope that will soon change!
