Re: Is this a crazy amount of weight?

Hi Ann - First of all, kudos to you for recognizing that proper weighting is very important. I suspect that your undergarments may be the culprit. Drysuit undergarments are designed to provide maximum insulation while holding the least amount of air possible. The more air a garment holds, the more w...

Hi Jeff - Wow - it's great to see you here! You know I love Jack's Diving Locker! It's the site of our annual "TV People Go Diving" trip. This year we'll be visiting for 2 full weeks. While I love diving in the Puget Sound, your shop provides the best tropical dive experience I ever had. I...

Re: New thought on a rescue technique, for discussion

Hi Doug - This is an excellent topic. I'm glad to see you thinking "outside the box" to be able to assist in the future. As mentioned, the numerous devices connected to the reg make a "cut the tank off" approach tricky. However, you're really onto something here. Divers in a resc...

Hi - We visited the dog park today and I walked over and took some pictures. The Oil Dock is completely gone above water. I'm on the PS3, mainly Resistance2 right now. (logged in as edm81363)

And we just got a Wii, so Wii Sports has been big.

I was at a friends house in Reno last week and played one of the COD titles there- looked like Baghdad. That was a lot of fun.

Re: Dive Log question

Hi Metal Man - You've discovered that the tables penalize you for multi-level dives. To determine pressure groups for these dives, you can use something like the PADI eRDP-ML or the Wheel. (rest of the board chuckles and shakes their heads.) I assume you are diving your computers profile. If you can...

Re: What a disappointment!

Hi there - I think you should call some shops and verify your rental figures. Even the tank price you quote seems high to me. I rented at first and all of my gear came to about $60 for a 2 dive day, or $96 for the whole weekend, which included free fills of the tanks. Then again, you could spend som...

Hi all -

I'll be at EUWP/BHUT at 7 looking for a buddy for a couple of dives. I'll be in a silver Honda Odyssey van with a yellow ducky on the dash. I can be reached at 425-239-4414...

I'm also interested in diving tomorrow late afternoon...

Re: Edmonds UWP at high tide Saturday?

Sorry, BHUT is "Bruce Higgins Underwater Trail". I try to call it that now instead of EUWP.

I'd love to dive with you guys on Saturday. What time are you meeting up?

I come up with slack at 1719 on a +1.2 tide. Low tide is at 1433, so it should be an interesting time to dive!

Re: Edmonds UWP at high tide Saturday?

Hi -

I need a buddy for Saturday morning dives. BHUT or Muktileo work for me, or Cove 2...

Slack is at 0656 with a tide of +8.1. Next max ebb is at 1237 with a current of .48kts predicted.

I'm only OW, so we're limited to 60fsw, but I could really use the dives!

Re: Edmonds UWP at high tide Saturday?

I'd like to dive BHUT on Saturday, but I'm interested in the afternoon slack, which should be around 5:19pm. Unfortunately, timing it for a 2 tank dive means splashing right around a -0.1 low tide. If anybody's interested in buddying up for these dives, feel free to contact me! -Ed in Mill Creek 425...
