Re: 3 Tree open again

It is still there also. Before the onslaught of fishermen I saw a small wolf eel in a pvc pipe at about 80 ft on the north end of the junk yard. Didn't see him this time though.

3 Tree open again

Ok, so 3T never really closed, but all the salmon fishermen have vanished. I had a nice quiet dive today. Saw all the usual suspects rockfish galore, lots of painted greenling a couple of cabazon, the really big GPO under the golf ball boat, rat fish and sole. Vis was around 30 ft in 60 fsw and seem...

fins found at cove 2

Found a pair of Oceanic Viper fins on the lawn at cove 2 yesterday. They aren't mine- are they yours? If so, let me know.

Re: Need info on Houston Texas

No, not much shore diving there. Some people dive the jetties at Port Aransas and one or two other sites, but the vis usualy very bad except on those rare summer days when the blue water rolls in all the way to shore. You also might want to check out www.scubaboard.com in the Texas Swamp Divers foru...

I believe I can do that. Just look for the tall blond guy driving a gray Nisssan X-Terra with Texas plates.

Re: Need info on Houston Texas

If you can get out to the TFG in early spring (most trips cancel due to rough conditions) you can see one of natures greatest attractions; the hammerheads schooling.

Anyone free tomorow morning/ day?

The wind is suposed to blow itself out sometime tonight and tomorow is suposed to nicer. I have the day off, so any takers on a tank or two? I'm new to town, but have been coming here for a while now to visit. I'm staying in Renton, but am willing to drive to meet someone. Early morning would be gre...

Re: Need info on Houston Texas

I've heard the Flower Gardens and Stetson bank are very nice, though I never was able to make it there myself. I can say from personal experience that the oil rigs are a fantastic dive also. If you want to drive to Port Aransas then Out to Sea Adventures is a good outfit. Mike Miglini is the owner/ ...

KVI tower

I noticed there is no mention of KVI tower here. I dove it once from a boat and was wondering if there is any shore access to this sight.

Considering I dive mostly in Texas lakes, bad vis is when you can't see your gauges. Really great vis is 20 ft :smt119

June 4 and/or 5

Hi all. I'll be visiting the PNW soon and would like to hook up with someone to do a little diving. I've done plenty of dives already in the area, but my usual dive buds are out of town that weekend. My plan is to bring my speargun along so that I can take some fresh fish to my parents in Yakima. I'...

Regular visitor

Hi all, I'm a regular visitor to the PNW to visit my parents in Yakima. Of course I like to squeeze in a dive when I can!
