Re: Possible Sunday Dive 4/28

I'm planning to go out with a newly cert'd buddy, thought we'd hit the EUWP for about a 1:30 splash. Come join us! I'll bring some tea and chocolate. Gonna try to get two tanks in. The more, the merrier. Now, let's just hope that the viz is great along with the weather!

Re: Possible dive on 4/27

Up to you, even in low viz I have some trim things I want to work on too, so it is all good. We could gear up and meet and then decide to bag it if things just look too miserable out there. In the meantime, I hope that someone will post this week regarding how it looks out there. I'll keep an eye ou...

Re: Possible dive on 4/27

Cool, Jim! I hope your Sunday dive is not cancelled though, it sounds super fun for those with sufficient skills. I'm not there yet and wouldn't want to bring down the group. What do you think for location, based on the fact that seattlepaul1975 needs to work on some trim issues with equipment? I al...

Re: Possible dive on 4/27

I only have about 28 dives under my belt, less than half of those are local. Checkout dives at Mukilteo T-dock, some EUWP, Alki Coves 1/2, and Redondo. Pretty limited experience, which I hope to rectify. Just let me know what sounds good to you, I am flexible for location and time that day, and not ...

Re: Possible dive on 4/27

Google maps shows a couple of parking areas. One right next to the 'bathhouse', so maybe that is a possibility. It will be a low tide on Saturday, so that is something to think about too, instead of 15-45 fsw it might be quite a bit less where there is stuff to see. Probably still good for kinks. Li...

Re: Possible dive on 4/27

Wondering how Golden Gardens would be, anyone able to weigh in on this site? I can't find much info on it, but it seems like it might be a good one for working out gear kinks since it is only 45fsw, sandy, with easy access. Hoping someone out there knows more, I've never done that one. For some reas...

Re: Possible dive on 4/27

Sure, sure, just rub in the very cool dive you're doing this weekend! I am green with envy! Should be a fabulous weather weekend in E WA. Grab some fresh asparagus on your way home, should be peak season. If you need a recipe for pickled asparagus, holler!

Re: Possible dive on 4/27

Hey Seattlepaul1975, I'm always looking for a buddy who isn't too crazy in the water, so Saturday looks good. Just checked the tide tables http://www.planyourdive.com/tides/?site=401&date=4/22/2013 and it looks like afternoon diving would be better with the big exchanges this weekend, what are y...

Re: Dare to Drift Part 2 !!! whidbey Island April 28th

There is a slight chance I'll be able to make it, have to run to Seatac that morning. I'll have to double check on the time but I'll be dropping my folks off by 0630 (0800 flight iirc). If I have my gear assembled and drive nearly like a madman I should get there in time. I can vouch for Jim, he's ...

Re: Possible dive on 4/27

Howdy! I should be more free after the morning t-ball game wraps up around 10ish. I think my dear hubby might be willing to pick up the third kid at his event and that should leave me some diving time. My friend just got cert'd a couple of weeks ago and I'd like to get him out on Sunday too. I'm not...

Re: MMM 4-15-13

Thanks, guys, I appreciate the generous offer to try out gear. I'm gonna look for an affordable back lift BC with quality connectors at the Expo, or at least get a good idea of what I want and order it. The used one from Lighthouse is falling apart and not worth trying to replace all of the broken p...

Re: MMM 4-15-13

Tonight is Girl Scout night, so I can't make it, but I'd love to join you all next Monday night. Where should I meet up with you guys? I know Mukilteo, but not sure if you meet at the t-dock or somewhere else. I'm inexperienced but learning. Coulterboy can vouch for me only being a small pain in the...

Alki Cove 1/2 4/13/13

Coulterboy and jimothy met me up at Cove 1 for a nice first dive around 1pm. Able to get about an hour, we cruised the east side of the cove in front of Salty's and found some neat bottles and debris. Viz was fairly good 20-30 ft for the first dive, no precip made for a good time getting geared up t...

Re: Anyone up for heading out this weekend?

Board seems to be having issues, I tried to PM Magoi but it doesn't seem to send: Sounds like fun, jeffgerritsen said he was doing Tacoma today and invited me, but I was a little slow in moving this morning on that. What time and what is your choice on dive sites? It will be a low slack, so EUWP cou...

Re: Anyone up for heading out this weekend?

My Sunday dive buddy is coming down with a head cold, so he is grounded. Anyone up for a dive on Sunday? Slack looks to be good around sunrise and about 2pm in the afternoon. I am open to location suggestions or I can pick one. Holler if anyone is free to go out!

Re: Anyone up for heading out this weekend?

I'm in too! I am up for earlier diving to hit that sweet window if anyone else is, but I will be at cove 1 ready to go as well. I'm always open to a change in venue as well. See ya this afternoon, if anyone else can make it just show up and join us! Jeremy, sorry to hear you're grounded! Maybe anoth...

Re: Anyone up for heading out this weekend?

Hey guys, Cove 1 is always nice, seems to be less current sensitive than other areas. If you're sure that you are up for an afternoon dive after a long drive, I am game. Meet at or before 2 pm to splash? Cove 1? Sounds good to me! I am driving a Toyota Sienna minivan sort of silver color. Cell is 20...

Re: Anyone up for heading out this weekend?

I'm open to ideas. ESDC is doing a club dive at Alki Cove 1 at sunrise hoping to catch sight of a six-gill shark. I am open to ideas. High slack is at 7ish and low slack is at 1:30ish tomorrow with a fairly significant exchange in between. http://www.dairiki.org/tides/daily.php/sea/2013-04-13 Though...

Anyone up for heading out this weekend?

I was thinking this weekend is lousy for riding bikes but not too bad for diving. Anyone interested in getting out to get wet? My weekend hasn't firmed up quite yet, but open to dives from Seattle to Marysville. A friend said that he wanted to get out for his first dive after cert last weekend. We w...

Lighthouse is giving away free air this weekend!

Just got an email from Lighthouse Diving Center, they are having a big sale this weekend, and to get folks in the door are offering free air and bench checks. I am not affiliated with them in any way, but I am always looking for a bargain! Sounds like as good of a reason as any to brave the graupel ...

Re: Viz Reports Thread

Redondo was about 20-25ft, lots of sea snow today. Plenty of critters out and about including the somewhat shy juvenile wolf eel living in the tire at 80ish feet, in the vicinity of the statue. Warm wind made getting disrobed rather nice, I could keep this nice balmy weather for a while! No current ...

EUP 10/13/12

It was certainly a lovely day for diving today out at the Edmonds Underwater Park. Lots going on there with the Underwater Photography walk, the parking lot was rather packed by 9:30am. So many great folks out there to learn from, it was a wonderful experience to rub elbows with some fabulous divers...

Thanks for the awesome dive today Emilyrc and Coulterboy. Tom, you're a fabulous diver, I just regret that we can't chat more under water! Emily, I hope to see you out there again soon, I'd dive with you any day!
