For the record..... NWDC does not in any way condone the beating or brutalizing of marine life. :boxing: :boxing: :boxing: :smt064 :smt119 (except for the dogfish. We could look the other way, if you know what I mean. If the dogfish fell down and hurt itself while we were turned around the other way...

You guys won't believe this but the 2 of us that are coming to Seattle next week were teasing our buddy about the fact that we are headed down for some "warm water" diving! Dave Well, that is impressive! I had 2 good dives this weekend, myself- 1 at the Edmonds T dock, and another in Lake...

Thank you, John, that was a real pleasure! This dive was my longest yet- we beat my record of just over 60 minutes by 20 minutes or so. (The previous record was from last week, diving with you at Mukilteo!) I just love diving places I haven't seen before- I feel like you just handed me a great new d...

This was a pretty good one. Dude, you'll be happy when you start diving dry. It took me a while to get used to it, and I didn't like it much at first, but I'll never go back. I'd offer to sell you my old one, but I'm sure it wouldn't fit you well. For "bang for your buck," I'd say to look...

Anybody know anything else about this guy? There a biography of him somewhere? I'd really like to learn more about him and his insane dive profiles!

Yeah, I thought that was interesting, too. The final stage of deco might be just lying there in the water.

I spent, I think, 1800$ on mine, made to my specs, measured to me, just how I wanted it.

Yep, I'm loving mine. I'm gonna try and write up a review of it soon, but if you're seriously going to order one, I have some recomendations: Order it without the irritating and pointless velcro cuffs on the wrists, and get the dump valve in the proper "upper arm" location. I tweaked a few...

Really interesting articles on DCS

I dug these out of a thread on Scubaboard. Really interesting reading. Articles by Richard Pyle- he's been bent a few times. He earned it both times, the first one especially. My jaw hit the floor when he described the dives he was doing (250 fsw on an AL80!) But- from what I can tell, he was a real...

Those were not Libra drivers. They were obviously whatever stupid Zodiac sign Calvin is. :bootyshake:

Buncha astrological hooey. I'm a Libra, and I have the cleanest driving record of anyone I know. My one and only insurance claim was 10 years ago (I'm 40, driving since I was 15), and I've had a grand total of 2 speeding tickets my whole damn life.

I shouldn't play devil's advocate, but if you're doing multiple dives to 80 fsw on air, and having no ill effects, what harm could diving 32% to 110, or 30% to 120 do? :smt064 Probably none....but DCS is a myterious malady, particularly Type II, and since he is FAR more educated about all of its nu...

I bet the doc's gonna clear you to go a little deeper soon- you seem pretty perky after a weekend of diving! I e-mailed him last night with an update on all of the dives I've been doing, and I specifically asked if he felt comfortable with clearing me for diving deeper. I'll be anxiously awaiting h...

Hmmm. Doesn't look like Salvo makes an 18 watt anymore:

They're mostly 21 watt, which is OK, I guess. Is you're NIMH or Li-ion, Bob? Which is better, and why?

Canister lights

I want one, but I'm not sure which one I should get. Anybody have some recommendations, based on actual experience? What wattage and why? Brands?

This one is a larger one although it doesn't look like 14' to me. How big does it look to you? It's hard to say without reference points but I would guess 10' or so. That's not to say that it isn't 14'. I'm just curious as to how you guys came up with that figure. It may well be 14'. When I measure...
