Re: Upcoming Fishie and Inverts REEF Classes (free!)

Yay!! Glad to hear it Janna! Hey everyone - you've GOT to take these classes!! Especially if you're a newer diver, it will really heighten the enjoyment of your dives! REEF is not just for new divers. REEF classes are the greatest. I have been diving since 1982 and I have to say one of my most enjo...

Re: 14' Zodiac for $800

Realistically how many divers are you going to fit in that size boat? I am asking because I have a 13’ 10” Quicksilver with an inflatable floor. I have not tried to use it for diving yet. I am thinking two divers and a boat tender would be best or at the most four divers doing a two and two. Maybe i...

Re: Lost Camera Hood Canal Pinnacle

She was not sure were she lost it. However, I think is was at 50ft or less at the end of the dive. I will check to see if Jen has more locational information. Thanks and have a good dive.

Howdy Scott and Wendy,

Welcome to NWDC. You may have noticed we have been talking about you in the Oregon forum. Glad to see you here. Many of us are excited about you opening a shop on the central Oregon Coast.

Re: A fun week of diving the Oregon Coast

The Tacoma area has more local and reliably accessible (protected) dive sites than the whole of the Oregon coast. Therefore the comparison is apples and oranges. We need to think about the fact that these are diffrent regions with diffrent norms.

Dove the hood today, Today we spent the day with Don on Down Time. We started with the north wall at Pulali Pt. We had a great dive with visibility of 20ft. at depth and much less above thirty 30ft. It may have been farther but with out my contacts who knows. :dontknow: Our second dive was on the Pi...

Re: hood canal

Have you been to the Astoria dive shop? Do you know of good dives on the north coast? Do you know of reliable dive charters on the north coast? I have stuff planned for the next bunch of Saturdays but will let you know next time I know people are headed north to dive.

This weekend I got a message on facebook from a guy I went high school with, was on the swim team with, and in the army guard with. I had not seen him or heard from him in 20 years. Come to find out I was friends with his nice from my last trip to college a few years ago. He had just set up a facebo...

The entrees and exits did not seem entertaining at the time but I am sure if they were watching the home owners were quite entertained. And Valerie I think most of us in our group needed help with our fins ranging from let me lean on you to full service on putt this on my foot please.

Re: Holiday Improptu Club Dive, TTN

Tom, I am sorry to hear about the camera. It was great to put faces to the names of people here on NWDC. Like Tom said the surf was braking over us both entering and exiting the water. We did our dive on the north part of TTN going out from the antler house. The site or at least the part we explored...

That looks like my old snorkel. However, I have not dove Alki since 1985, I have never dove Cove 2, and I still have mine. I keep it incase I need to be reminded what it use to be like to be on a snorkel.

Re: Monday Morning, Three Tree North

Unfortunately the praise for the 9am splash was premature. As the things usually go the people from Salem won’t be there until 10, something about watching the Indi 500 on Sunday and not wanting to be on the road at 5am. Works out well for my dive buddy and I because we are diving Tillamook on Sunda...
