Keahaou bay is the same place Jacks and other charters go for their night Manta dive. During the day, the hotel has a ladder in the water (if there's no swell) that is open to the public (but well hidden)!

It's two dive sites, Napoopoo and Keahaou bay! Both easy shore dives!

Went to Kona for 10 days to visit my folks and certify my wife rescue. After work dives we went fun diving and met some cool critters. This time around I had my GoPro. Well amazing news...because the word got out, when the thieves showed up at another dive shop, the shop, who would normally not deal with used gear did and got all the gear back for cheap plus got the thieves details!

Hey folks, A good friend of UWS in Bellevue had her car broken into and her gear stolen (all nicely packaged in her gear bag). She's got a police report, etc and We've advised her to keep an eye on Craigslist, ebay and to call the local pawn shops, but please keep your eyes open. Here's the list: 1....

Maybe see about doing your advanced Cert? That would include a night dive (one of five dives) with an instructor so you feel comfortable and supervised for the first time. Then that dive would count toward the night cert if you still want to pursue it, but I'll bet most folks here don't have the spe...

.... How is night diving? .... Dark .... HMMM.... is night diving difficult here? ... Yes, it can be. What kind of light do you have? At high noon in the middle of summer diving in puget sound below 25' can be a "night" dive depending on the amount of algae in bloom. Always bring a light....

I start teaching again in September at the Underwater Sports in Bellevue...I live in Ravensdale (right next door to Black Diamond), and the most convenient shop for me is the UWS in Federal way...it's a hike, but 18 is usually pretty quick and it's right off the end of 18...that's what I'd recommend...
