Re: Happy Birthday, Cardiver!

Happy birthday Ron. When we are both over our respective colds, we need to go for another drift dive at Redondo.

Re: Worst month ever

December sucked. Badly. It started well - 4 dives in the first 11 days. Wonderful dives with great buddies. Life was good. Then the dive gremlins struck again and again. Dives were called due to equipment issues. Dives were called due to snow and ice. Nothing was going my way. Then Grateful Diver an...

Re: Shipping tanks...

Eric, here is my case for why you should sell me (rather than that Sounder guy) your doubles. 1.A tall dashing man such as yourself requires longer tanks than your 100's. You would be much happier in new, longer tanks that fit your tall-drink-of-water physique. 2. I have given you solid underwater h...

Was there squealing when you found that duo? I can't picture you squealing, but I also can't imagine anyone NOT squealing when finding those two. Once again, Redondo surprises and delights. Great pics, as always.

The swingset is there and it is fabulous. There should be a picture somewhere of ZenDiver and I playing around on it. It is really more of a porch swing, but is still wicked fun.

I have Tricare, which sucks. I am going to be paying for this out of pocket so I can get in to see a specialist without having to wait several months. *grumble grumble* :angryfire:

Eric,
Ear problems are what you get for trying to make me feel bad for missing the day to my own ear issues. Karma is a bitch. One of these days we are going to go diving again.
Fun video. Thanks for posting it.

Cute little guy Ron. Keep those pictures handy for when he turns into a stinky 15 year old - they will come in handy as retribution for his teenage antics. I blackmail my nephew with bath tub pics on a regular basis.

Good ENT in Tacoma area?

I would prefer to save Dr. Kay for a second opinion (plus I would like to avoid driving to Bellevue if at all possible), so I am hoping that someone has a recommenation for a scuba friendly ENT in the Tacoma area. Any help is appreciated.

Re: Sooo... How Many Dives Did You Do in 2008?

I did 91 dives this year, starting in May. 77 of those dives were between mid-July and yesterday. All but 17 of those dives were with active members of this board, if that encourages any of the lurkers out there to speak up. I did not know any of you until July and now I am lucky enough to count man...

Re: Dive gremlins

If Lynne hadn't canceled first, I would have been all over canceling our planned foray to Cove 2. An icy walk in scuba gear at night just did not seem to be a very good idea. I am clumsy enough as it is. I don't think this one as gremlins - just Lynne being the voice of reason. The dive gremlins are...

Re: Dive gremlins

Cove 2 had three minor issues (not including the snow and ice). First, my LP inflator hose turned into a fizzy mess as I was assembling my gear. We swapped it around and figured out that it was the hose, not the inflator itself. Went to the dive shop, swapped out the hose, problem fixed. When we go ...

Dive gremlins

This is not a dive report. It should be a dive report. It should really be about five dive reports, but its not. It is a report of the dive gremlins that have moved into my life. I must have cleaned my gear after midnight or some other scuba no-no, because I can't catch a break. Last Friday, my dive...

Re: Back Pain...keep ot please!!!

Kirsten, Any idea on what caused the problem? I am going on 12 years with recurrent back pain. Had a bad parachute jump in a former life and have had to battle back pain several times a year since. I have a very strong reaction to pain killers, which complicates things. The first time the MD put me ...

Re: what dives stand out for the year?

My dive log for this year reads like a chatty 13-year-old girl's diary because I have had so many good dives with such great buddies. The most memorable dive for me was with SockMonkey and Sheri at Sund Rock in November. After two great dives earlier that day, we decided to do a night dive. The thre...
