Re: Viz Reports Thread
We must have missed you at Sund Rock. Later in the afternoon, it opened up to about 6 feet, but there was still a ton of junk in the water column. Don't forget about the horrendous traffic on the way up to Hoodsport - three hours from Olympia to Hoodsport.

Re: DIW and Titlow! Sun, May 17th
Bill and I didn't stick to the dive plan, mainly because I am a chicken when it comes to current and kept having images of us popping up by the Narrows Bridge. After 12 minutes of kicking (and kicking and kicking), we hadn't found the wall, were fighting the current, and were just not having very mu...

I wished I breathed like a girl. For some reason, my RMV has yet to drop below long-haul trucker levels. See you all tomorrow!

Alright, I missed tank pick-up at the shop. Silly Saturday hours. Anyway, does anyone have anything larger than a HP80 that I can borrow (I will pay for the fill, of course...)?

Ah, Sounder likewise freed me from mantra that "you must wear a snorkel." I was so glad to hand him the thing on our surface swim - 100 dives ago and I haven't missed it one bit. Stupid snorkels.
Paul - great report. Please keep them coming!

Re: The Wreck of the Al-Ind-Esk-A-Sea 5/03/09
Cool trip report. Talk to me about punctured counterlungs... This sounds seriously bad, but I have only poked and prodded rebreathers on the surface and don't really know much about them. Exactly how bad is it to have a punctured counterlung (better than a punctured lung, but still pretty bed is my ...

Perhaps this guy? He serviced my regs (Apeks) and did an outstanding job. He also has HWY in his mailing address, so he may be your long lost service tech.

Re: Questions on 7’ primary hoses???
Before I got my BP/W and can light, I dove a jacket BC and a 7' hose. I moved about half of my weight to a weight belt and just tucked the hose under the weight pocket just like it was a can light. Worked just fine. I also used the Aqualung hockey puck as my bungeed back-up for quite a while. It was...

Bob, that last PSL shot is wonderful. It has that "what?" look about it, like you just caught it in some slightly illegal act. It made me laugh out loud when I saw it.

Re: Switching to a backplate/wing
You will hear a lot of "DSS rocks" around here. I dove a DSS wing quite a bit and had a Halcyon wing on long-term loan. Both are good wings and Tobin's stuff is amazing. That being said, my personal preference is for Oxycheq wings. When I finally got my own gear, I got the Mach V for my si...

It is useful to note that after two very full days of class with Bob, Greg, and Valerie it is a bad idea to sit down on the couch "for just a minute." I ended up falling asleep, drooling, and having dreams of tired diver tows. I woke up mumbling things like "I'm Kate and I'm an emerge...

I don't normally comment on pictures - I can't manage to take decent photos and have nothing to offer, so I shut up. This shot is something else though. I keep opening thread and staring at the pic - something about it entrances me each time I look at it. Thanks for sharing Bob.

Zeke, Welcome to the club. I think I may have talked to your lovely wife in the parking lot. Not sure if that was you or not, but if it was tell her that I enjoyed speaking to her. I was the dark haired woman in the black jeep. Hope to see you in the water sometime soon.

If anyone coming tomorrow has the download cable for the Oceanic V250 (Aeris works as well) and is willing to bring it along, I would greatly appreciate it. I am too cheap to buy my own cable, but would like to download my most recent dives.

Eric, the videographer is getting a much better deal out of this. He gets video credits. You get to be a tasty snack for sharks. Next thing you know, you are going to find a tasty steak hanging from your first stage. You may want to reconsider your role in these dives. Also, I hate you too. Get the ...
