Boeing 737 Artificial Reef sunk off British Columbia

The Artificial Reef Society of British Columbia, (ARSBC) sank a Boeing 737 off of British Columbia January 14th, 2006. Here are some links to some great photos of the process of sinking it. I think it looks like a very interesting dive. It is sitting in about 90 feet of water sitting perfectly uprig...

Anyone going to Playa del Coco Costa Rica the end of June?

I’m going to Playa del Coco at the end of June and plan at least one day to dive the Bat Islands. This is the low season in Costa Rica and some of the dive ops require 2-4 divers to do trips out to the bats. I am going to be flying down possibly by myself and if anyone is going to be in the area and...

Thanks for the link. This is pretty incredible. If they can indeed produce this technology it will change diving forever.

I think it's great. As our club increases size I think there are many good categories we can add. Dive physiology, Instructor/DM section, Photography, Tech (Wreck, Cave, DIR, Hogartharian etc), Do it yourself gear, Decompression and Dive Theory, possibly a section for divers to get course help, etc,...

Wet or Dry?

What kind of suit do you own? Why did you choose your suit?

The best advice on gear tends to be from the people using it rather than the manufacturer’s advertisements.

Please let us know your opinion so we can assist anyone in the market to be better informed to make the right choice.

Yonaguni Okanawa (Ancient Sunken City)

I find this very interesting and thought some of you might as well. It is potentially an ancient city off the coast of Okinawa Japan. The site is controversial because it is at a depth where it was only above sea level prior to the last ice age 10,000 years ago. If the site is truly man made histori...

Those hard to find accessories...

Hello to all my fellow Northwest Dive Club Members! I thought I would share a link to one of my favorite websites for those hard to find accessories. This company has always been a pleasure to deal with and carries a lot of the odds and ends you may not be able to find elsewhere. Good for stainless ...

DUI Zipseals

I am thinking about a DUI TLS. I am looking at all the options and am wondering about zipseals. Does anyone have experience with them? Do they hold up to pressure at depth? It seems like a good idea but also could prove to be a weak point. Calvin did you order your new suit with them? Thoughts?

Hello NWDivers!

Hi My name is Ken. I am new to the Northwest Divers forum and I thought I would introduce myself. I first got hooked on the Great Barrier Reef in 1994. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. From that point I knew I was a diver. The majority of my dives have been in the South Ch...
