Re: FREE: Goodie Box P.I.F.

Alright, bschnabel is going to take the box. He'll take what he needs and then pass it along to the next in line (looks like that would be jturner). For those that are interested, here are the current contents: Here is what is currently in the box so you have a quick idea: 1 x Liquivision X1 charger...

Re: FREE: Goodie Box P.I.F.

Alright ladies and gents, As the first recipient of the box, I've taken those items of interest and use and am now prepared to PIF. It looks like Seattlepaul1975 was next in line. Paul, the box is yours if you want it. Just send me a message and lets arrange a time to hand it off. If I don't see a r...

Steve,

Where are you located? I might be interested in some weights and one of the quick draw bracket systems. Are you getting out of the sport or just making room in the gear garage?

Koos! If the box is up for grabs I would love to take it off your hands and then PIF. I have a few items that I can add to the box already and few items that I'm keen to use and play with.

Re: Visiting the Area Sept 5th - 12th.

Hey Danny, Most of the whale watch charters have daily tours and don't limit things to the weekends. There has been some recent activity up that way and there are currently 3-pods (K, L, and J) moving through the area. They were last sighted on 8/19 near Lime Kilm state park. There have also been so...

Hey there Bob, I am not free until this weekend, but I am planning to get out both Saturday and Sunday. Are you going to be in town through the weekend? If so, I'd be happy to dive Mukilteo or if you're up for coming down south a bit more to Cove 2, the octo's have started moving in and could give y...

Re: FS: HP80 Steel Tank

As a point of reference, UWS had the Worthington HP80's for $230.00 at the DF this last weekend. They'll go back up to $329 now that the fair is over, but if you look online there are folks selling used HP100's for aroudn $240/tank. So for an HP80 the used market price is probably closer to $175/tan...

Re: FOUND: Integrated BCD Weight Pouch at Cove 2

Hey Chris, I was one of the DM's helping with classes this week. We had two students lose integrated pockets on our last dive. One lost it around the 45 fsw depth and the other lost his around 15-25fsw. I was with the latter student during the tour and we believe it fell out somewhere close to the r...

Re: Need advice on Mac logbook programs

Clay,

I use MacDive. I ran into the same problem with my Veo 4.0 and it drove me crazy. Mac Dive is pretty good and tracks a lot of great data. If your in the area this weekend I am diving out at Cove 2 and could bring my mac with me and give you a quick preview if you'd like.

Definitely not the case. I was out there no more than 2 weeks ago and the shower was turned on and functioning perfectly. I will be out there this weekend as well and will report back once I get more info.

Re: Dive flag (deep boat) float

This same thing has happened at Cove 1. The marker buoy has gone missing and not sure if there are any plans to replace it. That said, there appears to actually be 2 buoys over in Cove 2 that are fairly close to each other. Anyone know what the regulations are on moving a buoy? Do you know if there ...

Hey Jim (webbah),

I'm looking for someone to get out with on Saturday for 1-2 dives in the morning. Thinking either Cove 1/2 or EUP. Any interest?

Norris or anyone else want to join?

Re: Drysuits, AGAIN

So I'll be the first to jump in for DUI. I've had a DUI TLS350 for over 5 years and it's a great suit, and best of all, it can be custom fit to you. I wouldn't go off the sizes on a website necessarily as with most companies (DUI, USIA, and likely even Whites) you can get the suit tailored to just f...

Greg,

This is what you need to get your wife. She won't inhale any water, will have great visibility, and it's a great conversation piece:

Shoulder Compress/Sling

Despite my best efforts I failed to stretch enough to avoid injury rock climbing at the gym yesterday. Anyone here on the board have a hot/cold compression shoulder wrap and/or a sling I could borrow? Tweaked my shoulder going for a move and now it's quite sore. Planning to rest and immobilize it fo...

Re: wet suit poll

The pros and cons of dry versus wet could be debated at length and I'm sure will continue to be even after this post. With that said, here in the Northwest the vast majority of us dive dry. It's less a matter of being one with the water and more a matter of comfort, convenience, and in the end prefe...

jirraph, I think that everyone on the board has made some pretty solid points. When I first got back into diving in college I had a similar thought process. And now that I've been back at it for 4 years I can honestly tell you that diving isn't really the way to make money. But I can definitely give...
