Re: North Carolina wreck diving
Thanks YellowEye. Those are Atlantic Sand Tiger sharks. Not to be confused with a real Tiger shark. I wouldn't be getting that close to a real Tiger shark!

Re: Salt Creek in the Spring
That's one of my favorite camping/dive combos. It's a bit of a crap shoot. I choose a weekend based upon current predictions and then hope the weather cooperates. Low northerly winds are best to keep the entry surge free. I also am prepared to not go if the weather/winds aren't optimal. Don't think ...

8/15 Cove 2. 30+ feet. The heavy rains didn't muck it up. Get it while it's good!

Re: Found: Drysuit at Rockaway
I saw this on my FB feed for Exotic Aquatics: Exotic Aquatics Scuba and Kayaking 5 hrs · Lost at Rockaway. Please please if you picked up a yellow and black diving concepts dry suit return it to Exotic Aquatics. It belongs to one of our clients and he is very sad. He went back to grab it last night ...

I'm a definite maybe this week. Better viz reports will tempt me. :-) Salt Water Park closes at dusk. It might be a little tight time-wise to get that one in.

Wasted Sea Star Purple Pale Ale
Now there's a beer dedicated to Sea Stars to raise awareness of the wasting disease. A portion of the proceeds from the sales will go towards research conducted by Partnership for Interdisciplinary Studies of Coastal Oceans (PISCO). http://www.rogue.com/rogue_beer/wasted-sea-star-purple-pale-ale/ ht...

Bachelor rock 3/28. 20 feet. Surge had it pretty stirred up though. Urchins galore!
Planned to dive salt creek but the winds had the waves going. Looks like things are starting to calm down now.

Under the hood
On Sunday my dive buddy and I did a three tank charter with PacAdventure on hood canal. Turned out to be a beautiful day both above and below the water. Don even allowed me to fly the drone from the boat. I hadn't flown it in a while and was pretty rusty confusing the sticks on the controller a few ...
