I'm looking at handheld a light for searching some tight spots for octopus and other entertaining life in the sound. What lights are you using and opinions on power? Brighter the better bro. Never heard anyone come out of the water yet complaining their light was just too darn bright...lol Bright t...

Found - Backup light at Mukilteo

I found a backup light at Mukilteo about a month ago. Done up in the normal DIR rigging with bolt snap.

At least...I hope it's a backup...if not, get a decent light!!

curious, besides several hundreds of dollars, how is a "tech" light diff from dusty's? besides luminosity/focus.. My Dusty light went into "SOS" mode towards the end of a long cave dive...battery got low. Nothing like cave diving with your light spazzing out for everyone's enjoy...

I'm looking for recommendations on a primary light. I'm currently using a DRIS 1000 lumen but would like to relegate this to my backup, and replace it with a light with longer burn time. I've seen a lot of Dusty Lights recommended here but am not too keen on a cannister as I am skeptical their bene...

I enjoyed this site personally. You basically get in at the parking lot and swim straight out to 40 fsw, then hang a right and go north. You eventually run into the barge. Took about 20 minutes of underwater kicking to get there as I recall. The barge is large but not all that tall, maybe 3-4 feet. ...
