Dry Gloves
I use the Best brand HD Rubber gloves size #10, bought the original pair from Ron at Hoodsport Dive. Any idea where I can purchase more of these? Home depot, lowes, Harbor freight, all do not have them. Help?

Awesome vis at Redondo the 25th, 26th, and 27th. 30' plus depending on tides. A lot of life going on down there, lots of octos, and dang a ton of flounder.

Re: "Can't miss" features along the west coast?
Well, dont miss out on the Oregon coastline either..very very scenic most of the way. Love the town of Pacific City, like a little hidden secret. The Pelican Brewpub on the beach is amazing, with views of Haystack Rock, supposedly the 3rd tallest monolith of its kind in the world. The little towns a...

We dove DIW same day, shooting for the 7:00 pm slack. Found the same little GPO, hanging out midwall. Also a heart crab not far from the little octo. Vis was awesome.
Fun watching the video....too bad the memory filled up right when it was getting good!

Day Island Wall last night, 6:30 pm, vis was incredible, 40+ ft at depth. Current never slacked, but was mild. Very awesome when on the south wall, at midwall, you can see the entire wall from top to bottom at the tallest part of the wall. Heck, it may have been 50' of vis.

Re: San Juan shore diving
Ok, so we gave it a go. Since Naknek is no longer, and Lu'Jacs was tied up, we did a couple shore dives. First, Deadmans Bay. The water seemed to be filled with tiny particulate that just hung there, vis was maybe 20' but hazy. The bay is filled with 6' tall eel grass. Not much going on in the bay, ...

Is the surge as bad at smallpox, and american camp?
Or would we be better off on a different island, say orcas?

San Juan shore diving
Hey, considering a quick trip to San Juan Island, any input regarding surge ect for shore diving. Sounds like Naknek charters went out of business. Looking at Lime Kiln point, but my dive buddy Mrs Gdog sometimes gets nausea from too much surge.

And +1 on Northwest Shore Dives as well as theperfectdive.com.
A must have. Another good resource is Shorediving.com
Also, +1 on the fact that ratings are subjective.
