Re: Weatherwatch

True, but we'd spent a fair bit of time with you patiently watching me mess with video equipment, and then obediently zoom back and forth for the camera... *grin*

I think we were close....

Ya, if we'd not stopped and dawdled (thanks Laura), I think we'd have made the fishing reef no problem :)

Re: Scootering Alki Reef

But not too far for UW swim *grin* albeit a loooooooooooooong one :) A fantastic dive and a perfect scooter dive. Too far to surface swim and we don't have to pay for a boat dive (let's not talk about how much the scooters cost). Video posted on Youtube... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzfT9yIcXOM ...

Penguin at Cove 2

Who removed the penguin and why? Do you plan on putting it back? It's been there for some time, some of us were kind of used to it... I think it liked being by underwater more than it likes being on the rip raff. oh yeah, the Buddha rocks :) Almost as good as the local gnome gardens... *grin*

Part of it I call global awareness... Some people are born with it, some are not. The deal with global awareness and diving happens when you are no longer learning your underwater self... Once you are not distracted by how your buoyancy is coming along, what your trim is doing, how your harness feel...

when we say "no vibes" we are not talking about "no interaction". I've dove with one as a buddy for a good several minutes (my human buddies were on my left, my sharky buddy was on my right). It was laughing at me the whole time for not noticing it. I just assumed Larry or Bones ...

I know, I was bustin' yer chops a bit... ;) I don't really watch TV, but I was able to dig up the reference on Youtube ;) If I recall correctly, sixgillers have been known to munch on dead seal bodies, and they are mammal's last time I checked. Sixgillers in my understanding are scavengers/opportuni...

uhm.... ...no You don't think they feel "cold" underwater? You don't get the impression when diving with them that in this circumstance we are NOT the top of the food chain?? When diving, I can 'sense' vibes from most critters... Octos, wolfies, etc... When I've encountered the sixgillers,...

My underwater estimate for blondie was at least 18', which means she's probably 14-15. As I said, my buddies were next to her and they were essentially end to end, to the tip of her tail. (course one of them is kinda short ;)

I first met blondie napping on the APLPs line between the monolith and I-beams (she was settled on the bottom, right across the line) I will say the immediate thing that came to mind was "huh... strange... the I-beams shouldn't be for another few minutes" and then the I-beams woke up and d...
