Point Defiance North Wall and Dalco w/dalcodiver

Dalcodiver kindly allowed me to join him on a few boat dives yesterday in the Narrows. After a few minutes interview, he determined I wasnt a complete Rodney, just a little bit of a Rodney, and let me dive with him off of his charter boat on a personal dive this day. The plan was to do 3 dives, but ...

Had a great time with Bill today. Dove Point Defiance North Wall, and then Dalco Wall. Had abit of current on Dalco, so we drift dove it. Both sites were great dives.

Re: New Year's Eve dive?

I might have a problem with the valve on my fusion. I'd been thinking it was the tendon valley on my wrist, but makes no sense why left side is dripping water, and left side barely wet. Bill (dalcodiver) maybe hit the problem, as my valve is left side. So I'm calling Tacoma tomorrow, to see how I ca...

I suppose I could poke some holes in a tin can, and put that over my Backup XML, and call it a can light.. :)

Is this a dive a more beginner'ish person can do? I'd love to dive Hood Canal, as haven't been there yet.

Re: I want to dive on Thursday, preferably at night.

Hey I was looking at using the spare time in-between dives to tune up my skills so I was wondering would it be alright to bring the rest of my mariachi band there to practice with. We can use Jeff's generator to power the Keith's bass. And I know so before it is said the trumpets are the really qui...

Re: I want to dive on Thursday, preferably at night.

Indeed! with all the walkers, fishermen and divers not to mention the maint crews I'm surprised that they haven't. Maybe if the divers that use the spot all the time would offer to help deffer the cost????? They can't be that expensive. Around 200-400$ a month, depending on service (weekly, bi week...

Re: Can lights

The new Dive Xtra's X-Ray Mk1 caught my eye. Its not a can, but a flat lipo battery pack. Fingerman handle or goodman, and I like the clip arrangement. But 1100$ ( in that range), is a big chunk of change. I've seen one of Dusty's lights when I dove with Raptor last week. For the price, tough to beat.

Re: I want to dive on Thursday, preferably at night.

One thing you might want to consider is that an inverter will drain a battery quite quickly. You might want to consider one of the rechargeable power sources like the one on this site. http://www.harborfreight.com/catalogsearch/result?keyword=rechargeable+power thx Dusty, already thought about that...

Re: I want to dive on Thursday, preferably at night.

If you read the rest of the posts, you'd found my generator is less noise than we'll all make combined. And yes, I own a db meter. But later I'll have an inverter, so its a non issue But thx for the suggestion on a light, as that gives me an idea to use my shop drop light on an inverter as I didn't ...

I was debating getting them, but I have 8 lp95s now.

Now if those were steel 119s, I'd have bought them

that generator is dead quiet, 4 divers talking will be louder than it is. If it was some kinda generac construction gennie, I'd have to agree.

Is it considered bad form to bring a small flood and generator? I dont see well in the dark anymore, even with a street lamp.

I'm a maybe... depends if I go riding or not. Do you guys just suit up in the dark, or?

I have a small generator(super quiet) and halogen flood.
