Oh, how cute. Sgt. Pepper and I had an adult follow us the last two dives at Cove 2, but only one, and no pup.

You are the most common human in Cove 2, after all...they must think you're some kind of seal that they've just never seen before. :)

True. But, I don't have any weird rashes, unexplained illnesses, or second heads sprouting out of my neck, so I guess I got lucky! :dontknow:

For those of you who didn't dive at Cove 2 last night, you missed out. We saw one heck of a cast of characters. True, here's a partial list: The scaly crab snake prickleback spiny red star a teeny baby squid (about 1/2"? smaller?) a black rock fish diamondback nudis a lemon peel nudi several l...

Scaly Lithodid? And a mystery fish!

Both of these were found on the boundary line last night at cove 2. I apologize for the quality, he was booking it and kicking up some dust. Is this a scaly lithodid? It was one cool looking crab! http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g302/penelopestjohn/scalylithoid.jpg And who is this guy? http://i59....

I saw one all by his lonesome at the logs on the boundary line tonight at Cove 2. Or her lonesome....is that a faint swell of the belly? :)

I absolutely LOVE my suit, but my LDS said they can't replace the neck seal. Why not? ... Bob (Grateful Diver) Apparently the seal is attached using polymer tapes and there is a specific tool needed to replace it (that they don't have). Also sounds like the tool requires some experience and can dam...

Sounder needs to get his neck seal replaced... and may be considering a new drysuit. Either way, he's not diving this Sunday. It's not fixed yet? You need to get that thing taken care of. It's time to go diving...... Agreed. C'mon Doug, it's been ages! :bounce: I missed the "Rich barbequeing i...

I don't think it's pile driving...that has a rhythm, this was random and spaced far apart. It could be some other construction related noise, though.

Cove 2 go boom?

Sergeant Pepper and I were diving Cove 2 early this morning and heard a few loud, sharp explosion-type sounds. They weren't successive and seemed random. I have heard them once before although I can't quite remember what time of day I heard them the first time. Has anybody else heard them and/or hav...

Thanks Colleen, it was fun diving with you too! Let's go diving again! I'm glad Paul enjoyed himself in spite of my driving. And diving. New equipment is fun, but the transition...sheesh! Sparky, we had a great time at Sund Rock. Viz was decent, but it was cold!! 46 on the surface, a bit warmer belo...

I agree with the spring straps, they help tremendously. I found that if I put my reg in my mouth, squat down beneath the surface a bit, and then try to cross a leg over my bent knee that I can put my fins on a bit easier. Or, when I was having problems with my back and couldn't bend over at all, I w...

Since they are neoprene, you should be able to cut out a wedge and aquaseal the edges back together to make the seal smaller.
